At last World of Warcraft in Spanish.
According to a press release made public by Vivendi, the World of Warcraft distributor, by the end of the year we will be able to enjoy WoW in our language. The Spanish version of the game will be hosted and served from Europe by Spanish-speaking staff from Blizzard offices in Europe. This includes 24/7 in-game support, offline user support, a dedicated community management team, and an official World of Warcraft website in Spanish. As with the existing ones in German and French, the game will be localized by Blizzard’s internal localization teams.

When will the Spanish version of World of Warcraft be released?
We are working to launch the Spanish version of World of Warcraft by the end of this year. However, you have to take into account many factors that can influence this date. Our priority is that the Spanish version meets all our expectations and those of the players.
Will there be a beta test phase?
We plan to offer the public Test Realms so that players can test the game.
I am currently playing another European version of World of Warcraft (in English, French or German). Will I be able to switch to the Spanish version? Will it involve any additional cost?
Spanish-speaking players who wish to convert their current account from another European language to the Spanish version of World of Warcarft will be able to do so at no additional cost. As they already have the possibility, current players will be able to download a version in another language through the account management pages.
I am a Spanish speaking gamer, but I want to continue playing the version that I am currently playing. I will be able to do it?
There is no obligation for Spanish speaking players to switch to the Spanish version once it is available.
Will players living outside of Spain be able to play the Spanish version?
All current European players will be able to switch to the Spanish version, even those who do not reside in Spain. As with the other localized European versions, current players will be able to download a version in another language through the account management pages.
New players will be able to purchase the game in their country of residence and then convert it to the Spanish version through the account management pages.
When World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade launches, will the English version be available in Spain?
Only the Spanish version will be available in Spanish stores. However, if you are already a player and wish to continue playing in English after the expansion is released, you can continue to do so by downloading the English version through the account management pages.
Will the Spanish version of World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade be released at the same time as the English, French and German versions?
Although that is our goal, it will depend on whether we can finish the Spanish version of World of Warcarft before The Burning Crusade is released.
I am currently playing in an English Kingdom. If I switch to the Spanish version, what happens to my character (s)?
Even if you switch to the Spanish version of World of Warcraft, you will keep your current characters.
If you wish, you can switch to the Spanish version and continue playing in the same English Kingdom, but with a Spanish interface. However, in this case, the Kingdom language and the support offered will remain in English.
If you wish to transfer your current character (s) to a Spanish kingdom, you will be able to do so thanks to the character transfer program. More details on the character transfer program will be released in the coming months.
This information also applies to current players of the French and German versions.
Will there be a Spanish support team, forums in Spanish and an official website in Spanish?
Yes, the Spanish version of World of Warcraft will receive the same support as the English, French and German versions. Blizzard’s European team will offer this support in Europe thanks to a dedicated Spanish team, located at Blizzard’s European offices. This support includes 24/7 online support, offline support, a community management team, and an official World of Warcraft website in Spanish.
Will there be Spanish Kingdoms of all 4 types (Normal, PvP, RP and PvP RP) available from the beginning?
Yes, there will be Kingdoms that will allow all types of game available as soon as the Spanish version is available.
Will some of the existing Kingdoms be transformed into Spanish Kingdoms once the Spanish version is released?
New Kingdoms marked as Spanish will be created. Players will be able to create new characters in these Realms and / or transfer their existing characters to these Realms through the character transfer program. More details on the character transfer program will be released in the coming months.
