There is increasing evidence that Atlus is preparing a new edition of Persona 5.

Fans had already become suspicious when the company moved the Persona5R.jp domain to its servers (Atlus had already purchased the domain, but the 403 Forbidden error occurred when we tried to visit the site), but now the company has registered several others domains, each with a letter in front of Persona 5.

The new domains that Atlus registered are: Persona5B.jp, Persona5M.jp, and Persona5S.jp.

The fan theory is that these domains are for a new version of Persona 5, which will potentially be released for the Nintendo Switch (in the style of Persona 4 Golden for PS Vita).

An indication that the game is on its way to Switch is that Joker, the protagonist, will be released as a DLC for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, which is strange, as Persona 5 is only available on Sony platforms.

It should be stressed that it is common for companies to register several domains related to their properties in order to protect themselves. Although Atlus has registered these domains, it does not necessarily mean that there is a new version of the game on the way.

On the other hand, it is strange that Atlus is doing this after the release of Persona 5 and not before. We will continue to keep an eye on developments.
