Bandai Namco celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Soul saga
Bandai Namco has released a video to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Soul series of fighting games, which debuted in December 1996 with the release of Soul Edge for the first PlayStation.
In these two decades we have seen six sequels and several spin-offs have been published, with Dreamcast’s Soul Calibur being surely the most remembered game of the franchise.
In the video you can see a retrospective that ranges from Soul Edge to SoulCalibur Lost Swords.
Lost Swords, a free-to-play for PlayStation 3 released in 2014, is precisely the latest installment in the saga. Since then hardly a pachinko has been announced for the Japanese market, and at the moment it seems that there are no plans to launch any new games on consoles or PC.
