BATTLE Let’s compare the customers of the banks. 4 leaders participate
Specifically, Sberbank, Tinkoff, Raiffeisenbank and Alfa Bank.
Electronic money is seeping into our lives. We get it on bank cards, we make purchases, we pay bills online. Money in its documentary form is needed less and less. Seriously, I catch myself thinking that I almost never withdraw my salary from my card.
In such a case, a stylish and functional customer bench is a vital necessity. And if you have to choose the credit institution to request a card, look at the mobile application offered by the bank. Obviously, you have to compare the two. It’s said and done.
The points we have paid attention to:
What services do we pay for most often? Internet, mobile communications and public services. These are the basic elements that must be present in any banking client. Sberbank is no exception. In addition to the ones mentioned above, you can pay taxes and penalties and purchase an iTunes code through the app. The rest of the payments will have to be searched manually, by details or by name.
In addition to the connection-accommodation triplet, it is possible to make a payment to someone’s electronic wallet in the Alfa bank app. Directly. The recipient does not need to ask for a virtual card, just know your account number.
The section we need is quite far away, but the number of recipients is impressive. To the three main ones are added payments with a budget and an electronic wallet, as well as some less popular ones.
Here you can pay almost everything. Utility bills, mobile payments, Internet, electronic wallets, games, social networks, shops: everything is available from the main menu, without the need to enter the data yourself.
Tinkoff bribed with a wide range of payment receivers and a cool interface, everything is clear, simple, understandable. The fine payment service is good, but I cannot move forward only because of it, Sberbank lags behind. The Raiffeisenbank has fewer potential recipients, and they’re not in the most obvious place. At Alfa Bank, payments are divided into several large groups, and all the rest are in one solid list – not the most convenient option.
Normally, to increase security, banks limit the amount of a transfer if it is made through a mobile application. The reasons are understandable, but it should not be an obstacle for the client. For comparison, we have taken the size of the limit per transaction. As is, no phone confirmation or master passwords.
|transfer to card||30,000 р.||75,000 р.||50,000 р.||75,000 р.|
|transfer to wallet||10,000 р.||75,000 р.||30,000 р.||15,000 р.|
|Services pay||10,000 р.||20,000 р.||15,000 р.||15,000 р.|
Raiffeisenbank and Tinkoff work best for card transfers to other banks. With a limit of 75,000 rubles, you cannot divide the required amount, but send it in full. Raiff will allow you to transfer exactly the same amount to your e-wallet. The payment of services is not far behind. Therefore, overall, by this criterion the Raiffeisenbank is the best. Keep going.
Once again, pass. While savings accounts and open deposits can be managed, checking accounts cannot be accessed. To see at least his number, you have to sign an additional RBS contract at any bank office. Not all card transactions go into the history section, which means your OKI purchase won’t be there. You can request a statement, but only for the last 10 transactions. Less fat.
In the header are the accounts to which a bunch of cards can be linked. It is easy to transfer money between them. In addition, there is a handy history of each account. The difference is tangible. Managing accounts through Alfa Bank after Sberbank is like moving from a moped to a motorcycle.
The list of cards and accounts is the first thing you see when you enter the application. Current accounts can be in six currencies. There is no problem to see the details, all the data is immediately available. It is possible to open both deposits and savings accounts. You can ask for a statement for any period, you don’t have to search far. As in Sberbank, there is a transaction register, which is the same for all accounts.
The friendliest interface, once again. When you open your card, you see the balance and transaction history. There is also a button for details, deposits and withdrawals. All the data can be grouped into a nice diagram by pressing the arrow on the right. But you cannot close or open an additional account, less the management fee. Also, the statement can only be generated for the previous month.
3. alpha bank
Tinkoff is quite constrained, and Sberbank, with its RBS contracts, is “out of the game.” Alpha bank is great, but statements for a certain period are really scarce. Raiffeisenbank gives you more options to manage your accounts.
The basic thing is to have a short password (or Touch ID) and confirm transactions by SMS. Any bank client has these characteristics. It would also help to have a SIM card IMSI change verification system, which will block the mobile app if intruders try to access it using a duplicate of your SIM card. Raiffeisenbank and Tinkoff were the most prominent; instead of SMS notifications, Push notifications can be requested, and only for the device on which the program is installed. The new Raffeisenbank and Tinkoff are also the most advanced, and instead of SMS notifications, Push notifications can be requested for the device on which the program is installed.
|app password||there is||there is||there is||there is|
|Touch ID||available||there is||there is||there is|
|Confirmation by text message||available||there is||there is||there is|
|SIM card check||available||there is||there is||there is|
Raiffeisenbank and Tinkoff “win them all” with their added feature of being able to easily confirm a transaction with a touch of a push message. At Raiffeisenbank and Alfa Bank, SMS alerts can be connected directly through the app.
You can create deposits online and open unallocated metal accounts through the bank client. The trick is the analysis of expenses, with nice graphs that show the sources of income and the items of expenses. It is possible to buy and sell currencies at a fixed exchange rate. A good add-on is the Spasibo bonus, but you can’t pay with it everywhere.
Sber’s interface is also impressive. Every time you open the app, you see a greeting: “Good afternoon” or “Good evening.” All this is accompanied by a nice and unobtrusive animation, in principle, like many other actions.
The same analysis of expenses, but in a different, in my opinion, less informative form. A transfer QR code has been implemented: it is easy to create on the Alfa bank website and send it instead of your data.
The client-bank has a lot of little functions that are available immediately, without the need for login and password. You can change the layout theme – there is a “Settings” button in the top left corner. The bank-client will ask you which map service to use, Yandex, Google or apple. All discounts are also available in the main menu. A swipe to the left will open current exchange rates and bank news. It is also possible to pay for the mobile phone, make a transfer and keep track of your expenses, although for this you have to enter your account details.
An advantage for expense accounting. As with other banking clients, you can add your own categories, but unlike the others, all transactions come with push notifications. They can be adjusted immediately, allowing you to assign purchases to the correct sections ‘on the fly’. That is, if you have bought some car supplies in a hypermarket and immediately corrected the push notification, the amount will not go to Groceries, but will be posted to the correct category. You can also see the costs of specific places (in another country, for example) and even view your purchases on a geomap.
In the Raiffeisenbank app you can also open a deposit and exchange currencies. But unlike the others, the exchange rates are displayed in real time, which means that there is an opportunity to make money on the exchange rates. It does not stop working with investment funds. A huge affiliate program with many useful and popular stores, whose discounts and promotions are easy to find in seconds. Thanks to a unique geofencing service on the market, in some cases you don’t need to search for anything: a push notification about an offer near you will arrive automatically.
Spend analysis is integrated into the card management menu, and you can slide the sliders to any time period you want. It is practical, for example, if your salary is paid on the 6th of each month, you set that period and get the complete data.
Less – the graph will show transactions by card, not by account. There is also an online chat with technical support, in which a real person will answer you, not a bot. There are a lot of interesting offers, and you can check them directly on the city map.
Geofencing, expense accounting and real-time exchange rates: great things that other banking clients don’t have. Raiffeisen is ahead. The Alpha bank extras are missing compared to the others.
The vast majority of users need the bank-client to make transfers and payments. Some need it for currency exchange. Or to manage your deposits. So it’s hard to pick a clear winner.
sberbank – The “people’s” bank, no one can beat it. Everyone has it, it is very likely that more than half of the numbers of your contacts already have linked Sber cards. Thus, transfers are made instantly and with minimal commissions. Work has also been done on the app, and it is easy to use.
tinkoff. Elegant, fashionable, youthful. The most attractive interface of all the previously reviewed apps. Lots of features, but the customer bank isn’t “fancy” at all. This is to be expected, as the bank is focused exclusively on remote banking.
It is already reaching the heels. raiffeisenbank with a lot of additional services. It is the most functional banking client, but it lacks “intuitiveness”, we hope that it will be worked on in the next app updates.
And here. Alpha Bank (a pioneer in mobile banking apps, by the way) is outdated, stuck somewhere between iOS 6 and Android. It’s a shame, they’re off to a good start; they should rely less on their call centers and develop online services.
My personal classification is like this.
But only because I don’t use the bank client to its full extent. I do not open savings accounts or currency exchange. All I need is convenient payments and transfers.
