Beyond The Wire is a large-scale, multiplayer first-person shooter that immerses players in the visceral and chaotic battles of World War I. The Western Front is brought to life in all its shocking and bloody realism, with up to 100 players fighting deadly open battlefields and the claustrophobic horrors of trench combat in the most stunningly detailed WW1 tactical FPS seen in a game yet.
Members of the elite American, French and German armies, teams will have to work together to survive in Beyond The Wire. Your team’s life will depend on close communication, unit cohesion, quick wits and skills to break through the front lines and crush the enemy. Squads will be able to use period-specific weapons such as pistols, rifles, poisonous gas, shotguns, and machine guns, as well as clubs, bayonets, and more with Beyond The Wire’s advanced tactical close-quarters melee combat system that brings the horrors of war to upstairs brings -close-and-personal unlike anything seen before in a first-person shooter.
In the battles of Zonnebeke, Frise, Ansoncourt and more real-world locations from WW1, players can choose how they experience the Great War in multiple game modes. Environments steeped in historical accuracy fully immerse players in each theater of war as the full-scale 50 vs 50 player conflicts rage in all directions as far as the player can see, with tight turns, limited visibility and muddy debris-filled paths all fraught with danger.
