Borderlands 2: New Nintendo Switch update crashes the game.

  • The latest update for Borderlands 2 on Switch crashes the game
  • Some reported this problem on Twitter
  • The patch was released as part of a new DLC release for the Switch

Borderlands 2 has received a major new update for the Nintendo Switch. The patch added a slider for the field of view and an improvement in the fast travel function.

A few days ago, the campaign expansion Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary appeared in the Switch eShop. The new update also wanted to pave the way for this and make some optimizations to the base game. Now there have been some reports of game crashes since the update was installed, as shown on Twitter.

After downloading the new dlc the game won’t start up. Crashes instantly. I have read from others they have to uninstall / reinstall and lose all of their progress. I gotta say if that happens I’m gonna be pretty upset. 100s of hours of gameplay and all those gold keys lost. Help.

The expansion Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary, which is new for the Nintendo Switch, includes a story campaign, additional locations and bosses, and an additional rarity level for weapons. If you own the Legendary Collection or the Handsome Collection from Borderlands for the Switch, you will get the expansion for free until December 3, 2020.

In terms of price, it is probably worthwhile to accept this offer: The DLC was released in August for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One, was also free for a short time and now costs between 12 and 15 euros.
