Pre-order Xbox Series S
Xbox Series S does not include a Blu-ray player, which means that you can only purchase games digitally. Just like Series X, the system has an AMD Ryzen CPU with eight Zen 2 cores, although the clock speed is a fraction lower. Microsoft focuses with Series S on gaming in 1080p or 1440p and this is reflected in the computing power of the CPU. The console has access to 4 teraflops of graphics processing power, and while on paper that’s less than the current Xbox One X, the move to the RDNA 2 architecture means that Series S will perform better.

In addition, the new console supports all new features such as ray tracing, spatial audio, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and Quick Resume. Xbox Series S has an SSD that is just as fast as that of Series X, but the capacity has been reduced to 512GB. It is possible to expand the storage memory with a 1TB SSD that Seagate has developed for the new consoles from Microsoft. Furthermore, all future games will be optimized for both consoles, so you don’t have to worry about whether certain titles come to Series S.
