Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Continuum, the second DLC Map Pack for the best-selling console video game of 2016 in the United States (excluding hardware bundle sales), is available on the PlayStation Network for PlayStation 4. Published by Activision and developed by Infinity Ward, Continuum features featuring four new maps, including a reimagining of one of Modern Warfare 2’s most beloved levels, Rust, updated for the next generation. The new DLC also features “Shaolin Dance,” a new zombie experience inspired by 1970’s New York City that features actress Pam Grier.
“At Continuum, the team has worked on each map with special dedication, thus offering a unique style and gameplay that conveys teamwork,” said Dave Stohl, principal manager of Infinity Ward. “Shaolin Dance takes the creativity of our cooperative zombie experience to a new level. From the location of the zombie nightclub, to the dialogue of the characters and the new martial arts component, all the details have been thought to transport fans to a new and twisted horror movie, which has a completely original plot. “
Shaolin Dance, the next exciting chapter in the zombie experience of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, features the return of Willard Wyler, the enigmatic film director inspired by Paul Reubens (Pee-wee’s Big Holiday, Gotham). This time, Wyler has caught four leads in a new horror movie, set in the unforgettable 1970s.
Players will face new zombie enemies in different locations in New York, including subway stations, nightclubs, and a martial arts dojo led by “Mistress Shaolin,” a character inspired by actress Pam Grier (Jackie Brown, Foxy Brown). In addition to the action already expected in Call of Duty, Shaolin Dance features four fighting styles, each with its own set of unique combat moves. Seth Green (Robot Chicken, Austin Powers) appears as “El Punki”; Ike Barinholtz (Neighbors, Suicide Squad) is the “Deprabado”; Jay Pharoah (Saturday Night Live, Ride Along) as the “Battle Poet” and Sasheer Zamata (Saturday Night Live, Inside Amy Schumer) is “The Disco Girl”, all of them return to put a face to this new experience.
In addition to the zombie content from Shaolin Dance, Continuum will include four new multiplayer maps:
Tourist – Features a luxurious spa and resort nestled in the middle of the giant skeleton of an ancient creature. With distinct sniper points scattered along a majestic central waterfall, Turista features narrow interiors for fans of close combat and a three-lane layout that offers a wide variety of play styles.
Scrap – Located in an abandoned warehouse on the Moon, Scrap offers a combination of extended lines of sight and tactical routes that reward players who engage in both long- and short-range combat.
Archive – Fast and frantic combat sets the pace at Archive, a post-futuristic art gallery where melee attacks contrast with the open exterior battlefields on this three-lane map.
Excess – Located atop an attic in a future metropolis, Excess features a small circular map inspired by the classic Modern Warfare 2 level, Rust, which retains the intense and fast-paced combat of the original model.
