Fresh Call of Duty content is coming our way as Activision and Infinity Ward have new details on Sabotage, the upcoming first DLC map pack for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, announced. It includes four exciting new multiplayer maps, each with its own unique look and feel, and a brand new Zombies co-op experience called Rave in the Redwoods, set in an abandoned 1990’s lakeside summer camp. Sabotage will be released first on PlayStation Network for the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system on January 31st, with other platforms to come.
“We’re excited to add a new chapter to our Zombies experience that will transport players to a spooky ’90s vacation camp that seems straight out of the horror movies of the time,” said Dave Stohl, Studio Head of Infinity Ward . “We’re also delivering four new, diverse multiplayer maps, including a re-imagining of Modern Warfare 2’s classic Afghan. There is an incredible wealth of new content and we believe all players will enjoy it.”
Rave in the Redwoods, the next exciting chapter in the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Zombies saga, continues the macabre story and transports players to a new decade: the 90s. Willard Wyler, the enigmatic directorial villain, is back and trapping the protagonists in another of his twisted horror films. The four playable characters from the original story also return, albeit in new, over-the-top roles. They attempt to uncover more of Wyler’s evil plans as they fight all-new variations of undead through an abandoned lakeside summer camp that’s been taken over by zombie ravers and turned into a techno-fuelled nightmare. Rave in the Redwoods is a gripping, spooky roller coaster ride with shocking twists, surprises and a multitude of new Easter Eggs to discover.
In addition to the Rave in the Redwoods Zombies content, Sabotage also includes four new multiplayer maps:
- noir – A gritty, gritty city map inspired by futuristic Brooklyn at night. Noir is a classic three-way map set in a dystopian future filled with cafes and parks surrounding a brutal downtown war zone.
- neon – A virtual training center for urban warfare, Neon is a unique digital battle arena where cars and other objects and buildings appear out of nowhere and enemies shatter into hundreds of pixels upon death. The center sightlines are best for players who love long-range combat, while the outer areas of the map allow for quick melee counterattacks.
- Renaissance Set in northern Italy, Renaissance places players on the narrow streets of Venice, surrounded by classic architecture and buildings that encourage non-stop action through the canals and districts of this famous city.
• Dominion – A re-imagining of the classic map Afghan from Modern Warfare 2. Dominion takes the setting to Mars this time, while keeping all of the distinctive landmarks of the original, linked by the crashed ship in the middle, and adding a few more Improvements to take full advantage of the new movement system.
