“Call of Duty: WWII is the right game released at the right time for our fans. Taking the series back to its heroic, military roots was a huge opportunity as well as a great responsibility. We were determined to deliver an unforgettable World War II experience, and I hope we’ve succeeded,” said Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision. “Our Sledgehammer and Raven teams not only captured the sheer scale and unique atmosphere of the most brutal war the world has ever seen, but also introduced many innovations – from the new multiplayer War Mode, to the new community space with HQ, to the scary-haired zombies mode. It doesn’t matter if you’re a veteran of the series or just starting your adventure – this part will connect all fans.”

“Call of Duty: WII was a very personal experience for us as Sledgehammer Games team members and cast communicated directly with World War II veterans. From the beginning, we did our best to recreate the realities and locations, also working on the source materials over the years to ensure that we captured the spirit and tone of the conflict that players will experience,” said Glen Schofield, co-founder and studio manager of Sledgehammer Games.
