Activision and Treyarch finally released the information that we all wanted to know about Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. And the team guaranteed: the experience accumulated over the previous years served to make this shooter “the most realistic of the franchise”, with a series of changes that will be applied as a result of a combination of years of experience.

What’s new and the new focus on realism
In the broadcast, the producers reaffirmed that they listened to all the feedbacks from the players and reiterated that the movement, combined with the use of weapons, will be one of the main elements of Black Ops 4’s multiplayer. on the Serie.
On top of these premises, the novelties, in summary, are the following:
- Movement that remains fast but more realistic and down to earth – no super jumps, no double jumps or supermatures, no vertical wall run;
- A new mechanic called “Guns Up” will make the weapon guard never go down, i.e. you throw a grenade, for example, and you can shoot at the same time. This is a combination of elements that have worked well throughout the franchise. Use of barriers, shields and other items will be strategic;
- The minimap only displays who is close to you, which increases the tension and brings the experience closer to the concept of Battle Royale;
- The use of the equipment remains essential, but this time it will be more “tactical and thoughtful”, according to the producers;
- Anyone who wants to assemble combos with the equipment will get it. Weapons and how the gameplay revolves around them remain pillars that will be used in Black Ops 4;
- The weapons were anatomically studied so that their reproduction would be as faithful as possible to reality. Replicas want to print robustness, a real feeling of wielding weapons.
