Good morning! Eat your bowl of Coco Pops quickly, because you don’t want to choke in the messages about release dates of Control and the rest of Life is Strange 2! Also in the news tonight, include a new fighter for SoulCalibur VI and a new map for Hitman 2.

It’s Friday again !!!

Release date Control leaked and confirmed

Oops! Once again a button was pressed somewhere too early and this time it was someone on Microsoft’s side who is probably going to blame an intern for his mistake. A release date was briefly shown on the Microsoft shop page for Control: August 27! The page is no longer accessible at all and normally the Guard would not pay too much attention to it until a date is officially confirmed, but eh… that has already happened!

Undoubtedly, it is not the way Remedy would have preferred to reveal the date of their latest showpiece, but it is extra sympathetic of them to just admit it right away. They do this in a confirmation to Game Informer, who not entirely coincidentally have Control on the cover of their April edition and have been bringing exclusive coverage about the game all month long.

So, the telekinetic-powered bullet is through the church: Control is out August 27 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Fancy? Fancy!

Life is Strange 2 episode 3, 4 & 5 release dates announced!

As you have probably noticed, the second season of Life is Strange is a bit more stretched than we were used to from the series. Fans have been waiting for news about episode 3 since January. Developer Dontnod is clearly taking its time, but fortunately is now nice enough to not only announce the release date of episode 3, but also to put episodes 4 and 5 on your agenda!

# LifeisStrange2 Episode 3: Wastelands will release May 9th.

Episode 4 will release August 22nd and Episode 5 December 3rd, 2019.pic.twitter.com/PoZIZivOFM

May 9, August 22 and December 3 are the dates to note if you want to keep following the story of the Diaz brothers. Each time more than three months between new episodes, that’s a bit too long for such an exciting episodic game. Still, if it’s all right, it’s all worth the wait in the end, if we are to believe Dontnod’s ambitions!

Mortal Kombat 11 beta trailer

De Wacht would prefer not to recommend pre-ordering at all, even if you get access to the demo beta of a game. Anyway, if you really want to, you can already get into the game with the pre-order of Mortal Kombat 11 next weekend. The following trailer shows you what to expect out there, such as the somewhat limited selection of playable characters from the beta: Baraka, Jade, Kabal, Skarlet and of course Scorpion!

The Mortal Kombat 11 online beta will run from March 28th to March 31st. Full release will follow April 23 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, and May 10 for Nintendo Switch!

Lost Ember will be released on July 19

We have another one: such a beautiful game that the Guard had never heard of, but undoubtedly deserves more attention. And this one also got a release date right away! Developer Mooneye Studios announced yesterday with this trailer that Lost Ember will be released on July 19 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The Switch version should also follow later this year.

In Lost Ember you wander as a wolf through all kinds of ancient ruins in search of the lost city of Machu Kila. It is not exactly clear what a wolf is doing there, but you don’t just play a wolf, no! This wolf has control over all other animals you encounter and that looks quite special.

Sigh …

Colin Furze builds gear from Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

Normally, the Guard isn’t that quick to share sponsored YouTube videos, but he likes to make an exception for his favorite craft hero. Colin Furze is regularly challenged by publishers to recreate gadgets from well-known games and if the amount is high enough if these are cool enough, he likes to give it a try! And not just as soft, foam rubber cosplay props, but actually working ones. Mechanical and stuff. This time it’s Sekiro’s turn, trying to assemble the collapsible hand ax and the collapsible shield umbrella case thing. Spoiler: the shield is damn tricky and unfortunately not ready yet, that will come next week.

Do you prefer to play with Sekiro’s weapons yourself? Which can! From today! Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is now out on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Keep your eyes open for Samuel’s review, which will appear on SamaGame as soon as he has died often enough to give a good judgment.

New Sniper Assassin map for Hitman 2 revealed

Your favorite bald assassin will get a new playground to roam around in on March 26th and of course that includes a trailer! Hantu Port is the new map for the Sniper Assassin mode, contains three intriguing targets and is simply part of Expandion Pack 1, or the Expansion Pass.

Amy is coming to SoulCalibur VI

March 26 is apparently DLC day, because SoulCalibur VI will also get an expansion next Tuesday. An expansion in the form of virtual flesh and blood! The range of fighters is in fact supplemented with Amy, as had been expected for a long time and was finally announced today via Twitter. Is SoulCalibur VI still playing a bit in the meantime? Tell us in the comments!
