Cross-Play in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will take into account whether you use a command or mouse and keyboard

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was officially announced last week by Activision and Infinity Ward, presenting itself as a game that, despite remembering the past immensely, represents important steps for the future.

Presented as a kind of soft reboot – a new era in the popular series, this new Modern Warfare (unnamed) will not feature Zombies mode and in a totally unexpected gesture, it will not feature Season Pass as Activision does not want to divide the community.

However, in addition to the novelty of the new maps being introduced at zero cost and a new engine capable of much more spectacular visuals, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare also stands out for the presence of Cross-Play functionality.

This will allow you to play with players on other platforms and if you are afraid of the possible disadvantages of playing with a controller against someone who plays mouse and keyboard, Activision has prepared for that.

As reported by Forbes, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will use matchmaking functionality equal to that of Fortnite for Cross-Play, bringing together only players who use the same type of control.

If you play with a controller, you will only play against players who use a controller, while those who use a mouse and keyboard will only play with those who use an equal combination. This serves to make the experience more just.

However, if you are playing on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One and you join a friend who is playing on the PC, you will start to find players who use mouse and keyboard.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will arrive on October 25th.
