CS GO: Lucas talks about his loan to MIBR and his arrival on the team.

Lucas (or LUCAS1) is the most recent player in the MIBR line-up, and arrived last month in an exchange for the felps player made with the Luminosity team. Since then Lucas has played three tournaments with MIBR: ESL One Cologne, BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles and IEM Chicago, when he talked to Voxel about his arrival on the team, his loan and what he expects from Major StarLadder Berlin.

Lucas joined the team with a heavy climate, mainly due to the losing streak. “They are players that were already top 1 in the world, it is difficult to lose a lot. Because I am a positive person, I joined the team to help them in this matter ”. As zews pointed out in his interview, the team today is happier and has a lighter climate.

But it is not because Lucas is the most recent player or the one with the most modest history that he feels less pressured in the MIBR “I always felt pressure in the teams I played, for playing a difficult role. I also feel pressure , I have to play well, I’m on a new team. I have the pressure with me, but I don’t think about these things ”. Lucas says that after the defeat in the final of the PGL Major in Kraków in 2017 he started to consult with a psychologist to improve his mentality.

It was not the first time that MIBR tried to take Lucas to its line-up. According to the player, the first time he did not accept because of his brother (Lucas has a twin brother who is also a pro-player, HEN1) who has played with him since the beginning of his career. Then, at the time of the 100 Thieves team, they had a vacancy in the major and he could not and did not want to leave the team.

The exchange for felps came at the right time for Lucas, who was not doing well at Luminosity and was already thinking about leaving the team. The fact that he is on loan and not hired by MIBR does not worry him “I want to play a good game and do a good job and, if all goes well, join the team”.

It is very clear that the focus of MIBR is now all on Major StarLadder Berlin. “I always go to the championships with great expectations, I always think I will win, regardless of who is playing with me”. At the moment Lucas is passing through Brazil quickly, after seven months away from home.
