CS GO: MIBR has a chance to shine at IEM Chicago.
The Intel Extreme Masters Chicago CS: GO tournament takes place at the end of this week (18 to 21), and has an extra weight for MIBR Brazilians. The team is going through a turbulent moment after the official departure of the coldzera player from the starting lineup, and has the chance to show his reconstruction at IEM Chicago, a tournament with live coverage of Voxel.
The coldzera “novel”
Rumors of the player’s departure came on July 7, when HLTV.org reported that coldzera had asked to leave the main team because he was dissatisfied with the team’s performance. Also according to HLTV.org, the player would participate in two more tournaments: the Blast Pro Series Los Angeles and IEM Chicago, which did not happen.

On July 12, Ricardo “dead” Sinigaglia, manager of MIBR, officially made the departure of the player from the starting lineup. In the statement, he clarifies that coldzera expressed his desire to become a reserve soon after the team’s defeat at ESL One Cologne and that he offered to play the championships that MIBR still has in the season, but the team refused.

“We have come to the conclusion that the phase we are going to live in will be one of reconstruction for the future, and that the sooner we start it will be better, not only for our line up, but for thinking as a team. The next steps
The first tournament with zews on the team was the Blast Pro Series Los Angeles, last weekend (13). The team won the match against Renegades, drew with Cloud 9, but lost to NRG, Faze and Team Liquid, the tournament champion.

The result did not qualify her for the playoffs. Even so, the players seem to have handled the defeat well, seeing the stage as a moment of transition.

The team’s next challenge is the IEM Chicago, a tournament that is in its second edition and proposes a challenge between the two largest regions of CS: GO – North America and Europe. There are eight teams competing: Team Liquid, MIBR, Renegades and Team Envy representing America, and ENCE, GR Esports, Team Vitality and Heroic on the European side.
