If you were hoping to read what it feels like to play Cyberpunk 2077 here on SamaGame soon, CD Projekt Red must disappoint you. The studio has indicated that the game will not be playable at E3. There is a ray of hope. Read about it in the N8W8.
Good morning! Today is May 24, when New York’s Brooklyn Bridge was opened in 1883. And in 1911 today in the Netherlands the first bird was provided with a bird ring to get an idea of the migration, age, mortality and food habits of the bugs. Interesting. Did you know that other ravens get in a bad mood when a raven friend of theirs is not in his mood? That’s called social contagion, how cool is that? Okay, enough of this kind of geek, time for that other variant.
Hotfix out for Fortnite after update that made build difficult
There was a big patch for Fortnite, but something like that often comes with a few glitches and other errors. If you fix it, you just break something else. This is also the case here, because the building did not go well. And then there were problems with switching weapons, which suddenly became invisible. Hellup. In the meantime, the hotfix has been released and it appears that the problems have been fixed.
Dead Island 2 is still in development
If we are to believe THQ Nordic, Sumo Digital is still working on Dead Island 2. THQ owns the rights to the Dead Island series and is clearly planning to do something with it as well. CEO Lars Wingefors explained in a shareholder call that Dead Island 2 is still under development and “to be continued”. That’s all. Maybe more on E3? Probably yes, because this game should be properly developed for the current gen and that means that there are not extremely many development years left.
In the new Star Trek series called Picard, we find out where Mr. Jean-Luc has been for the past year and a half. It is very mysterious about it, but it doesn’t really matter that much. The best part is that Patrick Stewart can be seen as Picard. Later this year, this ten-episode series will be released on the American CBS.
Lots of X-Men in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order
Professor X in X-Men was once played by Mr. Stewart and he did it epically. There is news about X-Men (without Mr. Stewart), namely that the mutants and their nemesis Magneto play a big role in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order. The Switch exclusive features a new trailer, in which you will see Psylocke and Beast, among others. The game will be released on Switch on July 19.
DC Universe Online is coming to Switch
Even more superheroes to Nintendo’s console, as DC Universe Online appears on Switch this summer. The game is now eight years old, after it first appeared on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Not that it has been the same for eight years: a lot of things have been changed and added. You can encounter up to 300 DC characters in this free-to-play title. But then again, who do you actually need when you have Batman <3?
CD Projekt Red: Cyberpunk 2077 will not be playable at E3 2019
Everyone wants to play Cyberpunk 2077 at E3, but it won’t work. One of CD Projekt Red’s community leaders, Marcin Momot, has announced on Twitter that the game will not be playable at E3. But! That new gameplay is shown. Some of it is public, but there is also a behind-closed-doors showing of the new gameplay footage. Let’s see if we can get our men in there at E3! When Cyberpunk 2077 should be released is still unknown, but if it comes, it will be on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey will be released on PC and consoles this year
PC gamers will have a blast starting August 27 this year with the first game from Panache Digital Games, Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey. It will be released exclusively on the Epic Games Store for the first year. Console gamers will have to wait until December. The game is being made by the ex-creative director of Assassin’s Creed, so expectations are high. Prefer not to expect the same, because as you can see in the new trailer this is very different:
That difficult raid from The Division 2 remains so difficult
The tricky raid in The Division 2 we wrote about last weekend, which is not that easy to complete on a console, it remains difficult. The Dark Hours has been hit by more than seven thousand PC gamers and only 200 console gamers. Massive Entertainment has indicated – unlike Ubisoft that said there was still something to be adjusted – that it has no plans to make the challenge a bit easier. The community developer spoke out about this in a stream for The Division 2. “We’ve heard rumors that we might lower the difficulty of the raid, but there are currently no plans to change that. We know the raid is more difficult on consoles, but we’re happy with where we are now. ” Life is tough, but The Dark Hours is harder.
HBO boss responds to all negativity surrounding Game of Thrones ending
HBO program boss Casey Bloys has commented on all the hates on the latest Game of Thrones episode. In an interview with Deadline, he said you should take online responses with a grain of salt. He was also not surprised by the response.
To be fair, for a series as big as this and for a series that has such a passionate fan base, it is actually not possible to find a way to please everyone. There are just people who love it and people who think it terrible. The main thing is that everyone has a passion for it. Everyone had hopes for what would happen to the characters, but Dan and David had a plan for how she wanted the series to go, and they did it their way. I think they have done an excellent job. They’ve landed a big plane, that’s not easy. You’re never going to please everyone and I don’t think that’s what they were trying to do.
And so it is.
Gato Roboto will be released on PC and Switch on May 30th
Developer Doinksoft has announced that their meowtroidvania (that’s their word) Gato Roboto will be released on May 30th. The bullet rain game starring some kind of astronaut cat is coming to PC and Switch. That can just become a very addictive game …
Rime is free on the Epic Games Store
Epic announced that a free game will be available in stores every week, rather than every other week. That’s good news, especially since this change is kicked off with the beautiful Rime. Until May 30 you can fish it for free from the Epic Games Store. Definitely do, especially if you love Shadow of the Colossus-esque games. In a week, Rime will disappear again, because after May 30, it’s time for City of Brass (made by ex-Bioshock developers) to be free with Epic.
Abominable is yet another Yeti movie
What it is, you know. Don’t wait, animation studios think it’s really funny to release the same kind of movies at the same time. Just think of Antz and A Bug’s Life, Shark Tale and Finding Nemo, Surf’s Up and Happy Feet and The Wild and Madagascar. At the moment the Yeti movie is completely hot, as Smallfoot, Missing Link and Abominable prove. A trailer for the latter film has appeared and it is quite cute. It’s not a Terminator, but still. At the end of September you can watch Abominable in the cinema.
Special Tetris stories from Game Boy
Did you know that Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak was such a fanatic in Tetris on the Game Boy that he was consistently No. 1 in Nintendo Power magazine? He was so often that he was no longer allowed to appear in the magazine. You can hear and see how he solved that in a new, delicious DidYouKnowGaming:
Hopefully we don’t have to think about wintery yeti scenes here. Enjoy your weekend when the time comes and have a nice day today!
