Cyberpunk 2077 kicks off with over 1 million concurrent players on PC and issues on PS4 and Xbox One.

Some of the most common problems have been unexpected crashes of the game, although within it there have also been some other mishaps.

It’s here, it’s here, Cyberpunk 2077 finally premiered after a stage of jokes about its premiere and its delays, the new CD Projekt game has finally seen the light, breaking the record of concurrent players on Steam that had Fallout 4. Bethesda’s game had a premiere with 472,962 players in 2015, but now Cyberpunk 2077 has had 1,000,297, peaking at 1,003,264, and being available on GOG -your platform- Epic Games Store, GeForce Now and Stadia, in addition to consoles, this number increases even more; in Twitch reached one million viewers, having at the time of writing this article 461.8 thousand.

Although it has not been the record for a paid game, this is held by PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds with 3,257,248 concurrent players, but what it did exceed was Terraria’s peak of 489,886 and right now it has 820,700 players. However, this has not entirely eclipsed some problems, since in the CD Projekt platform -GOG- there have been some unfinished downloads and various extra problems.

But all light has its shadow, and the players have begun to post videos and snapshots of problems that are being found, although it is not clear if many of these are with the patch from day one. After all, some have been able to play by changing the time zone on their console, since as CD Projekt said, launching the game early there were risks of it. Although, as the night progressed, more material was published with these same problems.

The Polygon medium reports that in many streams of the game on PS4 and Xbox One, has seen crashes, untimely gameplay, freezes, geometric NPCs and more. While some aren’t messing around with this patch, there are comments via Reddit that corroborate the issues in the past generation of consoles. PC gamers seem to be happy, although this is compared to those of PS4 and Xbox One, and although there are also pop-in bugs, updating the drivers seems to fix almost all of that; although even on PC, things don’t always go well.
