Make money in Cyberpunk 2077 it is important for several reasons.

If there is one thing that is important to make clear to you before you start Cyberpunk 2077, it is that money (known as edis or Eurodollars in Night City) is the key to the game.

Sometimes it will help you wear the best clothes, sometimes to get weapons and sometimes you will even have to make money to be able to start main missions.

No matter why: you are going to take money into account when investing time in the game and, due to the large number of things you can do in Night City, it is easy to end up with an empty wallet. Taking that into accountHow do you make fast money in Cyberpunk 2077?

The easiest way to earn fast money without preparation in Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk’s main campaign is relatively shorter than that of CD Projekt RED’s other great game, The Witcher 3 (more details on the duration here). Even so, the duration can be greatly extended with Secondary Curricula and Assignments, small missions and jobs that V receives that serve to earn EXP (and therefore attribute points), Money and Reputation.

Some of the Assignments will only take a few minutes, so if you desperately need money, we recommend completing Assignments to fill your edis portfolio quickly.

You can find some of the Assignments and Secondary Curros in your Journal, but some will only be activated if you are near the mission location. That is why it is important here that you look at the Map: open the menu and change the legend so that it only shows you missions.

You’ll know you’re in the right place because only the missions have Cyberpunk 2077’s iconic yellow color.

Once you’ve found an interesting painting job, follow it and go to its location to start it.

At the end you will receive a few edis, although depending on whether you are doing a job or commission, the amount of Eurodollars will vary. Most Commissions will give you at least 1,500 edis.

Some will allow you to get better numbers, but you won’t know until you start the mission. If it is something more complicated than ‘go to X and get Y’ it is likely to exceed the 1,500 edis mark.

Another important issue is that in these missions you will get loot. Sometimes you won’t get too many edis, but you can get some valuable weapons and clothing that you can sell.

Some jobs can give you 3,000 edis and even new objects, for example these:

  • El Trabajito – allows you to get new implants and 3,400 edis
  • Say what I owe you – 3,000 edis
  • I’m in a car – each order for this side quest will give you at least 1,000 edis and there are no less than seven. You will also get 3,400 edis when you finish it, so you will get about 12,000 in total

There are many more, but these three missions stand out because you can start and complete them as soon as you start Act 2.

Other ways to get money in Cyberpunk 2077, from exploits to selling items

In addition to these ways of making money, there are other methods that are technically ‘better’ but require a bit more preparation.

Create and sell

Cyberpunk 2077’s crafting system is fairly straightforward to understand, so it’s a very powerful tool for getting EXP and money by creating weapons and mods to sell later.

Even if you are not interested in raising your creation level, this ability has the potential to help you earn many edis.

So how do you invest in crafting? Go to the creation page and you will see several plans. Focus on the greens, be it weapons, clothing, or something else; what matters is quality and rarity.

When you see an object that will give you benefits (click on the object and you will see its monetary value in the lower right corner) and create it.

Not only will you be able to get 160-270 edis for rare or rare weapons, which will earn you money if you craft a few, but you will also gain Crafting experience that will allow you to level up quickly. The best of each house!

After creating the items, sell them at a store or warehouse machine and repeat until you get a few edis.

Keep in mind that if you decide to use Creation to get money, you will have to spend a lot of time if you have not collected enough components or scrap. Edis are worth it, of course, but getting the materials can be more difficult than it sounds.

The soda vending machine exploit

Despite the title and the fact that it is quite a popular method right now, this ‘exploit’ is not so bad. First we will explain what an exploit is and then we will tell you why it is not bad, but you really should focus your time and energy on commissions and side missions.

It’s pretty simple: find a soda machine and buy one for 10 edis. Disassemble the soda into parts, which can be sold for between 30 and 50 edis, depending on the rarity of the components they receive. You can try other vending machines in the city or focus on one and repeat after saving and loading a couple of times to get the refreshments back.

It may seem like the easiest way to get edis, but it is also the most time consuming because the quantity and quality of the components vary from one soft drink to another. For example, this drink:

It costs 10 edis and you will likely receive 2-6 common and rare parts. Disassembling the drinks will hardly ever give you anything above the rare rarity, which is why this exploit is’ okay ‘and not a ’10 / 10 do it right away’.

Let’s say you’ve done this with a bunch of drinks and you have around 300 common / uncommon components. Go to a vendor or deposit machine (you will find one next to V’s apartment) and sell all the components you have.

It seems easy and straightforward. But this is what we have personally accomplished by selling 334 rare parts: 2,672 edis.

It’s not too much money, you can probably get it more in 5-10 minutes with assignments and missions from the NCPD. It’s a funny exploit that can pay you off if you’re patient, but now seriously, we recommend that you focus on quests or Creation. All this without taking into account that a patch that removes it will probably arrive in the future.

Loot in Cyberpunk 2077

As a great video game character once said, ‘loot the bodies.’ In Cyberpunk 2077 it is the same, because you can see by the colors the rarity of the loot before picking it up and certain loot will help you get many edis for your wallet.

For reference, you can sell common weapons for around 50 edis, while a maximum rarity weapon will sell for around 2,500-5,000 Eurodollars.

Like creation, looting bodies is not the fanciest thing to do, but you will receive your rewards if you put in the effort.

After all, there are two perks to looting: you can find rare loot and sell it outright or, as discussed above, use that loot (weapons, clothing, scrap …) to disassemble it and create other awesome items to sell.

No matter what you do with the loot, you will always win.

The only thing you have to keep in mind is that if you wear too much loot and overload yourself, you will not be able to run and you will move at a snail’s pace.

As you can see, there are many ways to earn the edis you need, but at the moment nothing beats completing commissions and side missions in Night City.

They may take a while, yes, but if you want the best way to get money, these missions are 100% worth it.
