Ubisoft announced that Far Cry 6 is now available for PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One and PC (Ubisoft Store and Epic Games Store).
Users who purchase Far Cry 6 for Xbox One or PS4 will be able to upgrade to next generation consoles (Xbox Series X|S and PS5, respectively) at no additional cost.

Set in Yara, a tropical and paradisiacal island that has stopped in time, the game puts players on an adrenaline-fueled adventure where they will experience the chaos of a guerrilla as they join the revolution to free the local people from the dictator Antón Castillo (Giancarlo Esposito, from The Mandalorian and Breaking Bad) and his son Diego (Anthony Gonzales, from Viva – A Vida É Uma Festa). The game was developed by Ubisoft Toronto in collaboration with Ubisoft Montreal, Shanghai, Kiev, Philippines and Montpellier.
In the shoes of Dani Rojas, a former local soldier, the player is thrust into the midst of the guerrillas as Antón’s brutality reaches new heights and the fire of the revolution spreads across the country. Players can choose between two Dani identities (male or female) and join forces with a vast cast, including Clara Garcia, leader of the revolutionary group Libertad, and Juan Cortez, former KGB spy and guerrilla master, for the end of tyranny. .
Playing alone or in co-op mode, gamers have a vast open world to explore, including stunning forests and even decaying cities. With Anton’s army controlling the air, streets and sea, players must advance their strategies within hidden guerrilla camps across the country, gathering soldiers and resources while planning their next moves. In this adventure it is necessary to travel around the map and approach situations like true guerrillas to ensure that each blow against the regime is strong enough.
By incorporating Yara’s “Resolve” philosophy, players will take the idea of ”do it yourself” seriously and use everything at their disposal to inflict chaos on the regime. Far Cry 6 features an unexpectedly large and customizable arsenal of weapons and “Resolve” tools.
To be successful against the might of Antón’s army, you need to customize your weapon loadout according to enemy forces. Players have complete freedom to experience the game in whatever style they prefer, be it stealth or overpowering. In addition, players can use traditional weapons in different ways to move around the map, including horses, tanks and customizable vehicles. You can still battle alongside animal companions like Chorizo, the adorable sausage dog, and Guapo, Juan’s hungry crocodile.
For the first time in Far Cry history, players who purchase the season pass will be able to experience a new perspective and play as some of the series’ most notorious villains: Vaas Montenegro, Pagan Min and Joseph Seed, all played by the original cast. In each of the three DLC episodes, players will enter the minds of these infamous antagonists, uncover their pasts, battle their inner demons and meet familiar faces in an all-new gameplay experience inspired by the roguelite genre, where strengthen to survive various levels of the villain’s psyche.
