Dead Island Definitive Collection Announced.
Deep Silver has announced Dead Island Definitive Collection, which will be released on May 31 for Playstaton 4, Xbox One and PC at a price of 39.99 euros. The reconstruction of both Dead Island like Dead Island Riptide with Techland’s next-generation graphics engine, it allows a significant change in visuals and performance, adding state-of-the-art graphic effects typical of the current generation:
Higher Quality Textures
The game’s textures have been redone in higher resolution and the quality level has been improved across the board.
New photorealistic lighting system
The lighting system in the game has been greatly improved, to provide a more realistic appearance of the sunny and beautiful tropical environment.
Physics-based shading
The inclusion of new physics-based shading techniques from the latest version of the Chrome Graphics Engine adds a higher-quality appearance to in-game models and objects, which react more realistically to various lighting conditions.
Image quality improvements through anti-aliasing
The addition of more sophisticated anti-aliasing techniques means console gamers will be able to experience Dead Island without the unsightly jagged teeth, to a much sharper view.
Improved quality of game models and geometry assets
Major geometry assets (such as: non-playable characters and character models) have a marked increase in quality.
HBAO and motion blur effects
The inclusion of the Horizon-based Ambient Occlusion (HBAO) algorithm adds an extra level of depth and realism to the game world. Through better implementation of object shadows and new motion blur effects, both games will offer a much more cinematic experience.
Updated game interface
To provide a more consistent look and feel and unrivaled gameplay in both Dead Island and Dead Island Riptide.
Live the experience on the current generation of consoles
The Dead Island collection will also take advantage of the features of the new consoles, with 4-player online co-op, remote play via the PS Vita Remote-Play option (PS4), Share-Play (PS4), streaming and recording.
