DMC: Devil May Cry – Definitive Edition.

Originally released in 2013 for the last generation, “DmC: Devil May Cry” created controversy and divided fans by presenting a reboot of the classic franchise starring a new-look Dante (the main reason for complaints). Developed by english Ninja Theorythe game underwent a modern makeover and despite critical acclaim (with an average of 8.5 in reviews from major gaming sites), the game fell short of Capcom’s sales expectations, with 1.6 million copies sold in mid-2014 (sold less than Devil May Cry 4).

Certainly the biggest changes inDefinitive Edition” compared to the previous generation are in their visuals and performance🇧🇷 The textures, the details of the characters and scenarios, the cutscenes, are more refined and with a sharper and more crystalline air. The 60 frames per second make the difference, the action is much more dynamic and fluid, running smoothly without hindrance, contrary to what happened in the original version, especially at crucial moments like jumping over chasms. We can also see new lighting and shadow effects, making the already beautiful and colorful artistic design of the scenarios even more attractive.

Already at the beginning of the game we can check all the additional content (four in total) that have been released over the last two years, such as new skins for Dante (including the look of the classic games) and for his weapons. We have also included the DLCs “Vergil’s Downfall“, with a new campaign for Vergil and “bloody palace“, which adds a challenging survival mode with 101 stages.

But that’s all existing content, the game also features some interesting new features, such as the unreleased “bloody palace” for Vergil, in which the player needs to go through 60 stages of challenges. It is also possible to connect a turbo modewhich increases the speed of the game by 20%, making the action even more intense and several new merciless difficulties (the hardest being Gods Must Die), for those who like challenges, as well as updated trophies and achievements. All this already released from the beginning.

“DmC” already had excellent combat mechanics, with several types of weapons and fantastic combos. In this new version we have a lock-on system, which makes it easier to track enemies and execute moves. And speaking of them, several enemies and demonic bosses have been rebalanced with different attack patterns and damage taken. The style system, or combos, has also undergone some changes, forcing players to mix their attack types to reach, and maintain, the highest ranks.

In terms of story, stage structure, characters and soundtrack, the game remains identical to its original version, without alterations or additions, which is not a problem, since this material presented a high level of quality – Click here to read in more detail about these points.
