AMD has just released a new version of its AMD Radeon Adrenalin driver, which in this case already reaches version 18.3.2. This new version has focused almost exclusively on correcting problems that users had detected with the previous version of these drivers, and that especially affected the game Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition.
It is admirable how quickly AMD’s team of engineers, assigned to troubleshooting the AMD Radeon driver, are reacting to issues arising from the successive releases of new computer games. Because, if not too long ago they released version 18.3.1 intended to support the new game Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition, today they have released a new version of these drivers, exclusively intended to improve certain aspects related to that game.

The truth is that the Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition game is one that requires quite powerful hardware in order to perform as it should. Therefore, it is not surprising that AMD wants to extract the maximum performance from its line of Radeon RX graphics cards so that the game can run well with them. More if we take into account that the game is selling like hotcakes since before its launch, having a wide fan base.
Driver improvements AMD Radeon Adrenalin 18.3.2
Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition:
- Up to 4% performance gain when using a 8GB Radeon RX Vega 64 graphics card with the new AMD Radeon Adrenalin Driver 18.3.2 vs. the previous version 18.3.1 when using Full HD resolution.
- Up to 7% more performance when using a 8 GB Radeon RX 580 graphics card with the new Radeon Adrenalin 18.3.2 driver compared to the previous version and using Full HD resolution.
- Fixed stuttering issue affecting some images rendered with some particle effects.
Performance improvements may not be jaw-dropping, but they can still mean the difference between a playable game and one that isn’t. And that difference is everything for any player who takes the price of keeping his equipment up to date in order to enjoy his games to the fullest.
