Another point of interest highlighted by the creators of Dying Light 2 is how they have designed the city and the different environments, but without neglecting the balance between the narrative and the gameplay. This sequel will be longer than its predecessor, with an estimated duration of 20 hours just for the main mission.
” It also took us some time finalize the design of the city, a game mechanic that allows you to shape the playable elements that appear in the game. In the early stages of the project, the mechanics were really complex, but then we realized that we weren’t doing a strategy game, and what we had to do was to slow down the player’s progress a lot. In the end, the hard part was figuring out how to balance the two. ”
