Elden Ring is in the final stages of development.
Elden Ring News
For sure, fans of the Souls series are eagerly awaiting Elden Ring. Of course, we all look forward to this game for several reasons. It is being developed by FromSoftware in partnership with George RR Martin.
The game didn’t appear on the Tokyo Game Show, but we received an update about its progress on a different show. With the game set for release early next year, manager Yasuhiro Kitao made a brief appearance to answer some questions about the game, including its development status.

In a Famitsu video, Kitao made a small appearance. One of the questions asked was about the game’s content, reiterating what kind of game it is. He describes it as “the culmination of FromSoftware’s experience in dark fantasy action.” Other things he talked about involved the amount of dungeons that can be found in the game’s vast open world.
The other details discussed involve the map and quick travel functions, which will be a big change from previous FromSoftware games. This includes the size of the map, with Kitao explaining that it’s more unusual and unconventional. This involves the player being able to piece together their locations by taking pieces of the game’s map that can be found in the upper world, allowing the player to dictate how they wish to explore.

Finally, he talked about the game’s development stages, he explained, “We’re in the final stages of development and we’re silently advancing.”
Elden Ring arrives January 21, 2022 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
