Disney officially announces The Book of Boba Fett, The Mandalorian spin-off series coming to Disney Plus next year. We tell you everything we know so far about this new production of the Star Wars Universe.
For those who have already seen season 2 of The Mandalorian it will not be any news, but for those who are not yet up to date they will surely be surprised to know that there will be a new one. Star Wars Universe series titled The Book of Boba Fett (The Book of Boba Fett), which has already been officially announced by Disney through social networks showing the logo of it.
With this The Mandalorian spin-off series It appears that Disney will make up for the canceled Boba Fett spin-off film project, in the same way that the Obi-Wan Kenobi series was going to be the film that was previously planned and which also did not take place due to poor reception from Han Solo: A Star Wars Story.
At the moment the details of the plot of The Book of Boba Fett are unknown, but this will take place after the events of The Mandalorian season 2 (attention, SPOILERS for The Mandalorian 2×08), where in his post credits scene Boba Fett is seen returning to Tatooine accompanied by Fennec Shand, breaking into the palace of the late Jabba the Hutt and killing Bib Fortuna (who is now in command) along with the rest of the former henchmen of Jabba, being the bounty hunter who takes the throne of Jabba the Hutt’s palace.
Thus, it is confirmed that the new star wars series will have again Temuera Morrison (Dora and the Lost City, Aquaman) playing Boba Fett, as well as the actress Ming-Na Wen (Street Fighter: The Last Battle, The Darkness) in the role of Fennec Shand, pending confirmation of the rest of the cast that will be part of the series.
The same team from The Mandalorian will work on The Boba Fett Book, meaning that Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni will also be behind the history of the series, serving as executive producers of the project together with Robert rodriguez. Rodriguez has already directed in The Mandalorian, so he will surely also get behind the scenes in an episode of this new series.
The Boba Fett Book series will debut in the Disney Plus catalog in December 2021, so that month we will have a double portion of Star Wars, since it was recently announced that the premiere of season 3 of The Mandalorian will be in Christmas 2021. The chronology of both series will go hand in hand, so it would not be wonder that at some point there is a crossover and Din djarin and Boba Fett meet again in another exciting adventure.
