Fall Guys: Playing with friends and how to invite players.

The Release of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout for PS4 and PC was a great success and has given the battle royale genre a whole new touch apart from the eternal blast – which is probably the reason for the success. And even if many multiplayer functions in Fall Guys (crossplay, split screen or loaker multiplayer mode for couch co-op) are still on the developers’ list and the solo gaming experience is in the foreground, Fall Guys is by no means a single player game. In Fall Guys, this is how you invite players to the PS4

If you play on the PlayStation and want to invite other players into a group, you have to send an invitation to your friends via PSN, which they in turn have to accept. It works like this:

  • In the main menu press the triangle key for the function “invite players”, which causes your PSN friends list to appear.
  • You can now either switch to matchmaking in the left tab or confirm with the “X” key and land in the selection of your friends who are currently online. Here you can then select up to three players / friends by ticking the box with the “X” key.
  • Once you have selected your desired players, press “to the right” and confirm your selection with “X”. The invitation request follows, which you confirm again with “X”.
  • That’s it from your side. It is now up to your friends to accept the invitation. If they do, you can see their avatars in your lobby. If all players are in your group, you can start the match with “X”.

    • With the help of a Fall Guys group, you can easily start the same game with your friends. But you are not protected from each other!

    How you can form a group on the PC via Steam

    If you want to play with friends on the PC, team building works very easily using the friends list in Steam:

  • Press the “P” key in the main menu for the “Invite player” function. If you are playing with a controller on the computer, then press “Y” for an Xbox key layout or triangle for a PS key layout.
  • You will now see your friend list from which you can send an invitation to up to three players.
  • Now it is up to your friends to accept the invitation. The invitation should be directly visible in the chat window and with a click on the green button “Start game” you will go directly to the Fall Guys group lobby (the Steam overlay can be called up with Shift + Tab).
  • If all players are in the group, you can start the match with the space bar.

    A team can be formed by a maximum of 4 players in a Fall Guys group. In contrast to other Battle Royale games, in a Falls Guys group you are not automatically “friends” with the other group members. Means: It is possible that you throw each other out. This has advantages and disadvantages.

    You can see it as an advantage if you want to play in the same match with your friends in order to fight for the place of the “best”. This is more or less impossible for individual registrations, as it is very unlikely that you will end up in the same round with your friends. The disadvantage of this is, of course, that you accidentally kick out group members in a scramble, even though you actually want to act together as a group.

    By the way, for a few trophies in Fall Guys you have to form a group with other players.
