There are two types of chemistry in FIFA Ultimate Team. These in turn determine your overall chemistry score, and your teamwork style also determines your overall score. Here are some basic terms:

  • Individual or individual chemistry – A score of 10 per player.
  • Chemist team – A score out of 100 for your whole team.

However, it’s worth remembering that individual chemistry and team chemistry aren’t as important. EA Sports announced last year that Individual Chemistry determines about 75% of your attribute increase, while Team Chemistry only has a 25% impact. In other words, it is much more important that your Aubameyang card contains a maximum of 10 individual chemistries so that your team has a total of 100 team chemistries. Nonetheless, it still makes sense to increase your team chemistry.

Whether or not a particular attribute of a player changes is determined by their overall chemistry score. It’s like the chemistry team scoring out of 100. If a player’s overall chemistry is over 50, their attributes will increase. If the score is less than 50, they drop. If your score is exactly 50, your attributes will also remain the same. The extent or variation of your attributes depends on how high or how weak your general chemistry is.
This year, just before the launch of FIFA 19, EA Sports finally released some exact numbers on how chemistry affects your players’ stats. For example, if your Ronaldo card has a chemistry style that increases its finish by 15 per 100 overall chemistry, that stat of 90 overall chemistry will only increase by 12. More details can be found later on this page.
In general, the following rule works: the higher your overall chemistry, the more stats are increased with a maximum of 100. The lower you drop below 50 aggregate chemistry, the larger the stat decrease.

So if you want to know how your player stats are affected, you need to know the overall chemistry first. Then you need to know which attributes are influenced by the style of chemistry you have chosen. And finally, you need to know what effect your overall chemistry has on this style of chemistry. How to calculate the overall chemistry of a player?

  • Multiply a player’s individual chemistry by 10, then 0.75.
  • Multiply his team’s chemistry by 0.25.
  • Add the two results.

For example, if you have a Cristiano Ronaldo with a player chemistry of 9 and a team chemistry of 90, that equates to 67.5 + 22.5 = 90 overall chemistry at 100. It’s greater than 50, then Ronaldo is increasing his stats. And the overall chemistry is pretty high, so the boost will be big.

How does chemistry affect your players’ stats?

  • 40/50 = 0,8
  • 0,8 x 15 = 12
  • So a Ronaldo card with 90 general chemistry and a sniper chemistry style gets +12 on its finish attribute.

Also keep in mind the following:

  • The maximum boost, if a player has 100 Team Chemistry and 10 Individual Chemistry, is 90 points. These points are spread over different statistics according to the chosen chemistry style.
  • The maximum reduction, if a player has 0 Team Chemistry and 10 Individual Chemistry, is 25 points on all attribute.

How to increase chemistry in FIFA Ultimate Team

The chemistry of individual players and the chemistry of teams are also increased, with a variety of factors increasing or decreasing their chances. For the best results, you’ll want to get 10 and 100 respectively, but it’s worth pointing out that individual chemistry is more important than team chemistry when it comes to calculating it overall.
You improve a player’s individual and team chemistry in the same way, with a range of factors that determine whether your score goes up or down. As mentioned earlier, you want to increase this score to 10 and 100 respectively. Therefore, you need to consider these factors that influence your score:

  • Player position or player position – Your player’s position is on his map, in red, orange or green. Red means he’s completely out of position, which impacts his chemistry scores. Orange means he’s playing partially out of position. It also lowers your chemistry scores. Green means your player is playing in their preferred position, which translates to higher chemistry scores.
  • Player Links or Player Links – This is represented by the colored lines between the players. These lines are also red, orange or green.   • Director – It works much like player links. The nationality and competition of your manager has an impact on your player’s chemistry. Your manager’s club doesn’t matter. If there is a connection between the player and the manager in terms of competition or nationality, your player’s chemistry score will improve. You can see this by the tie icon on your player’s card.
  • Loyalty or loyalty – Players who play 10 or more games for your club will receive a loyalty bonus. This increases their individual chemistry by 1 point and displays with a green shield on their map.
