FIFA 21 Rulebreakers – First FUT Event Today.
The first major Ultimate Team themed event in FIFA 21 is scheduled to start at 7:00 PM CET. EA decided to share with us very puzzling information about the upcoming event called “Rulebreakers”. We invite you to discuss it.
There have been mysterious loading screens in the game for a few days, announcing the upcoming event. True to tradition, EA showed us three cards of the best players from the upcoming thematic special team and the residual attributes of one of them. At the beginning, we learned that it would be the Napoli striker, which made many people wondering if it was not about Arkadiusz Milik, because the statistics on the card would indicate it. However, the EA Sports tweet explained the matter, thanks to which we know (based on nationality and several other attributes) that it will not be a Pole, but a Belgian. Everything indicates that one special card will be given to Dries Mertens from Napoli, the other will most likely be Harry Kane from Tottenhamand the third was an unidentified footballer from Brazil.
We also learned from the rest of the post that The “Rulebreakers” event will consist in the fact that players selected by EA will receive special cards that will change their style and character of the game. Typically, a team created for various events taking place in Ultimate Team consists of 23 such cards. In this case, it is that the selected players, previously slow but strong, will now be slightly slimmer, but gifted with great speed. On the other hand, agile dribblers will start to shoot better or stay on their feet tighter. This is to slightly overturn the status quo in Ultimate Team and cause an interesting change in the usability of individual players.
The special cards of the players from the “Rulebreakers” team can probably be hit in packs or by completing themed squad building challenges. Most likely, some of them will also be unlocked as part of special weekly tasks.
EA will also certainly prepare a lot of attractions for the players related to the upcoming event. Based on what we have dealt with in the past, we can expect different squad-building challenges or themed weekly tasks, in which you can unlock packages, players from the “Rulebreakres” team or cosmetic items such as costumes or stadium personalization cards.The in-game store should also include limited-time promotions for specific packages.
It is not known whether this event will replace the traditional Halloween event “Ultimate Scream” appearing in FIF every year since FIF 17, which usually happened on the last Friday before that date.
FIFA 21 debuted on PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch on October 9 this year. The PS5 and Xbox Series X / S release date is not yet known, but it is speculated that it will be around the premiere of new consoles.
