Filtered the complete list of characters from ‘Super Smash Bros. Brawl’ (Updated).
First of all, let me warn you that this article contains spoilersand if you don’t want to know the complete list of characters that will appear in ‘Super Smash Bros. Brawl’You better stop reading right here. With that said, I start with the actual article.
It was inevitable that, with the arrival of the Nintendo title in Japanese stores, all the information that the company had chosen to keep hidden would end up coming to light, as it has finally been. And it is that if there was someone who thought that, after everything that Masahiro Sakurai had announced on his blog, the game had run out of surprises to reveal, they are very wrong.
First of all, in the intro that we have been able to see this morning, the return of a couple of characters that worked very well in previous installments of the series, but that strangely had not been mentioned until now, was already revealed: Martha Y ness. And it is that the one that Ike and Lucas had been announced as their substitutes seemed quite scarce, but luckily we see that there will be no need to say goodbye to these fighters.
But don’t worry, the thing does not end here, far from it. And it is sure that if right now I asked the question of which character you miss the most from the previous two installments, surely many of you would raise your hand and answer that at Captain Falcon, TRUE? Well, then you’ll be glad to know that he is indeed back, as well as Ganondorfwhich as you will remember is a stronger and slower version of the racing driver.
Do you still miss fighters from the past? Well, there is still more. Three in particular: Luigi, Falco Y Mr Game & Watchwhich are no longer as prominent as the fighters that have been seen before, but who due to charisma and sympathy well deserve to be part of the roster of stars that will parade through this great game from which little else is going to be able to ask.
Happy? Well, don’t go yet, because there’s still more. And it is that until now we have talked about characters that repeat from previous games, but it is time to take a look at other newcomers that until now had not been talked about. There are three more, and with them the cast of characters of all sizes and colors that will make up this game will be definitively closed. These will be Toon Linkcel shading version of the elf that comes to replace Young Link, the popular robot STEAL and the pokemon Lucario.
Of the signings, I like the first two a lot, and the Pokémon leaves me somewhat indifferent, really. Who will also make an appearance, although only as an enemy in the Subspace Emissary mode, will be the evil Ridley. And with this, everything is said with respect to what fighters are concerned, thus forming an unparalleled squad of 33 characters in which, however, some names are missing.
And it is that I can understand that characters like Dr. Mario, Pichu or Jigglypuff have been left out, but not so much that they have opened the door to Roy, my favorite fighter from the GameCube installment, and to Mewtow, a character whose particular characteristics and differences with respect to the rest, they provided an interesting point of variety to the fighting. But they are out, and I am afraid there is no use complaining.
Finally, here is a download link with samples of the melodies that will appear in the game, and the image that the character selection panel will have when we have unlocked them all. But how good does it look.
Update: As several of you comment, the image that I previously put with the player panel still did not show all of them, and there were a couple left to include, thus making a total of 35 characters. These absentees were jigglypuffwho will finally make an appearance again to serve as sparring partner, and another newcomer, Wolf O’Donnell, leader of the Star Wolf team and archenemy of Fox McCloud. Here you can see, now, the final result of the panel:
