During Sony Interactive Entertainment’s State of Play digital live stream, Square Enix Ltd. announced that the critically acclaimed and award-winning FINAL FANTASY® VII REMAKE is coming to PlayStation®5 (PS5™) on June 10, 2021 as the enhanced and expanded FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE.
FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE for PS5 leverages the latest generation of hardware for a wealth of graphics, gameplay, and feature enhancements:
- Immerse yourself in the city of Midgar like never before, with improved textures, lighting and backgrounds. Players can switch between two modes:
– “Graphics Mode” gives priority to graphics in 4K resolution.
– “Performance Mode” prioritizes smooth action at 60 frames per second. - Capture and share your favorite in-game moments with the fully customizable “Photo Mode”.
- Enjoy immersive combat with the haptic feedback of the wireless DualSense controller, and use its adaptive triggers for dynamic bike racing.
- New difficulty levels for ‘Classic Mode’ offer new ways to play.
- Dive into the action faster with shorter loading times.
As a thank you to players who have purchased FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE for the PlayStation®4 console, Square Enix is offering those players a free PS5 update* that adds all the next-gen improvements described above at no extra cost when the game is played on a PS5 console. console is played.

FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE will be available as a physical and digital Standard Edition, and as a Digital Deluxe Edition on the PlayStation®Store. The Digital Deluxe Edition of FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE comes with a digital mini-soundtrack featuring songs such as “Descendant of Shinobi,” and a digital artbook featuring concept art and character sheets. Players who pre-order the digital Standard Edition or Digital Deluxe Edition of FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE will receive the Cacstar weapon as a pre-order bonus to use in the new episode featuring Yuffie.

In addition, SQUARE ENIX today announced two exciting new mobile games that transport players to the world of FINAL FANTASY VII.
