Guardians, get ready for a boatload of new content in Destiny 2 with the upcoming Forsaken expansion, unveiled this Tuesday on Bungie’s Twitch. Scheduled for September 4 on PS4, Xbox One and PC, the additional content brings a number of changes and represents the next big step for the MMO. Check out the trailer later.

With two new destinations to explore, new weapons, armor and Supers to acquire, forsaken takes players on an epic journey across the wild frontiers of our solar system, where the lines between justice and revenge are blurred. the expansion also presents a new competitive and collaborative activity for the endgame called Gambit. Its about a new hybrid 4v4 mode that blends PvE and PvP experiences. This new way of playing Destiny 2 offers something more versatile to different types of players, taking advantage of those who enjoy the competitive challenge of PvP game and bringing, at the same time, the collaborative elements of PvE. This new mode will be available at E3 2018 and Voxel will be there in Los Angeles to cover it.

The story

After years of conflict, what remains of Recife has become illegal. forsaken features The Dreaming City location. Full of secrets and bosses, this destination is also home to the new Incursion and is the first space designed from the ground up to support the final content. Mexpected changes and features like a new weapon slot system, random rolls, mod system improvements and several other optimizations are planned. At launch, PS4 players will have access to the following exclusive content: one assault, one gear set per class, one new ship, and one exotic weapon. At the launch of the expansion, the previously released Destiny 2 limited-time exclusives will be made available for all platforms.
