Fortnite Creative Mode is an extension of the popular Playground sandbox.

It is basically the third mode to appear on the game’s title screen, alongside Save the World and Battle Royale. Creative Mode allows players to freely edit the map and save their creations, which can then be shared with others.

However, access to your Private Island it will be limited to only a certain number of users to begin with.

Creative mode, and with it, Fortnite Season 7, will be available 2 or 3 hours later.

Season 5 is here! With it comes the new Battle Pass for Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5, which will allow you to unlock the skin of The Mandalorian. We also reveal where the Razor Crest, the Mandalorian’s ship, is on the new Fortnite Season 5 map, and how to get Gold Bars with a new mechanic: Contracts. If you win a game, you will get the new Victory Umbrella.

How do I get early access to Fortnite Creative Mode?

When available, only those who have the Season 7 Battle Pass will be able to access Fortnite’s Creative Mode and have their own Private Island (which can be edited and saved for future sessions).

Early access to the Private Island will last from Thursday, December 6 to December 13, just a week later. From then on, all players will be able to play for free.

However, players will be able to access other Private Islands even if they don’t have the battle pass, so if you have a friend who has the battle pass and a Private Island, they can invite you to join their creation. You just won’t have your own Creative Mode this first week.

Epic has said that the reason for this decision is that the launches of new modes are usually “hard”, something that perhaps they have learned from the first weeks of the Playground mode. By limiting access to Battle Pass holders, they can ensure that the mode is fully functional before other players enter.
