Fortnite Season 9: All bonus challenges and their solution.

Week 10 is already in the past, but season 9 is not over yet. Similar to the seventh season, Epic is going into an extension from today (July 23) to hold a few special events – including the Fortnite World Cup and the birthday party for the second successful year. This is of course also duly celebrated with a few associated challenges in the game.

So that you don’t get bored by the lack of weekly challenges until the start of Season 10, Epic is first adding the so-called “Bonus Challenges”. What you need to know about it and, above all, what challenges await you at the events, how you can solve them and what rewards you can get, we will tell you on this page.

Fortnite Season 9: All bonus challenges and their solution

All tasks of the renewal event at a glance

Basically, the free renewal event all players (with or without a Battle Pass) participate, but there are three tasks that are only intended for Battle Pass owners. Overall, the extension event includes the following 15 challenges that you can complete by the end of Season 9.

Battle Pass Challenges

Fortnite Season 9: All bonus challenges and their solution
  • Reach Battle Pass Level 23 – Phase 1 of 2
    • Complete Free Bonus Challenges (3 pieces) – Stage 2 of 2
  • Reach Battle Pass Level 71 – Phase 1 of 2
    • Complete Free Bonus Challenges (6 pieces) – Stage 2 of 2
  • Reach Battle Pass Level 87 – Phase 1 of 2
    • Complete Free Bonus Challenges (9 pieces) – Stage 2 of 2

Free challenges

  • Get eliminations in collaboration with your friends (25)
  • Inflict damage with shotguns to opponents (2500 points)
  • Visit Loot Lake, Polar Peak and Pressure Plant (3x)
  • Revive a friend in different matches (3x)
  • Damage opponents with assault rifles (2500 points)
  • Dance in a holographic Durrr burger head (1x)
  • Be among the last 15 (5x) in duo or team matches with a friend
  • Damage opponents with submachine guns (2,500 points)
  • Score a goal on an indoor soccer field (1x)

Right at the beginning on July 23, the first six tasks are available to you, whereby the first three tasks are phase tasks with two levels that can only be played with a Battle Pass, while the last three are available to all players. Then there are three more challenges every three days, for which you have to create specific goals. These are usually relatively simple tasks such as taking damage with certain weapons, reviving or visiting named locations, but they come with large amounts (2,500 points of damage, etc.). With a bit of grind, you should still be able to do it quickly.

Fortnite Season 9: All bonus challenges and their solution

A total of 50,000 experience points await you with the rewards, with which you can quickly catch up on missing Battle Pass levels. In addition, there are three loading screens and a new style variant each for the Season 9 skins “Bunker-Jonsey”, “Stratus” and “Demi”. You can find out the details of the challenges below.

Reach Battle Pass Level 23 – Phase 1 of 2

  • Complete Free Bonus Challenges (3 pieces) – Stage 2 of 2

You don’t need to explain much here. You probably completed the first step of this task right at the start of the event, after all, you should have reached the lower levels long ago if you gambled through Season 9. If that is the case, you have already received the reward – the Bunker Jonesy skin – (there is no additional reward for this as part of the renewal event).

Fortnite Season 9: All bonus challenges and their solution

In the second step of the meta / milestone challenge, you have to complete any three tasks from the extension event. If you have already reached Battle Pass level 87, this step is already done and you can go over the “Aged” color / style for the Bunker-Jonesy skin looking forward.

Fortnite Season 9: The style variant “Aged” for the Skin Bunker Jonesy is your reward (bonus challenges).

Reach Battle Pass Level 71 – Phase 1 of 2

  • Complete Free Bonus Challenges (6 pieces) – Stage 2 of 2

Level 71 is quite a bit of work, but should also be a long way behind you when you have completed all of the weekly challenges and Fortbytes over the course of Season 9. When you reach level 71 you have unlocked the Stratus outfit (there is no additional reward as part of the renewal event).

Fortnite Season 9: All bonus challenges and their solution

In the second step of the phase task, this time you have to complete any six tasks from the extension event, which will take at least a few days, even if you have already reached the maximum Battle Pass level. As a reward there is then the “Red” color / style for the Skin Stratus.

Fortnite Season 9: The style variant “Red” for the Skin Stratus is your reward (bonus challenges).

Reach Battle Pass Level 87 – Phase 1 of 2

  • Complete Free Bonus Challenges (9 pieces) – Stage 2 of 2

For the third phase task you have to reach Battle Pass level 87 as the first objective. If you haven’t mastered this hurdle yet, you should take on the other tasks of the extension event, because they throw off a lot of XP. The reward for this level is the “Demi” skin (there is no additional reward for this as part of the renewal event).

Fortnite Season 9: All bonus challenges and their solution

In the second step of the phase task you have to complete any nine tasks of the extension event, which includes at least half of all tasks of the event. As a reward awaits you the color / style “night” for the skin Demi.

Fortnite Season 9: The style variant “Red” for the Skin Stratus is your reward (bonus challenges).

Get eliminations in collaboration with your friends (25x)

For this simple task you only have to play a few rounds with your friends in any group / team mode and target opponents. You have to get a total of 25 kills, regardless of where, with which weapon or in how many rounds you line up these kills. The rewards for the shooting festival are easily earned 2,500 experience points.

Inflict damage to opponents with shotguns (2,500 points)

Admittedly, 2,500 points of damage are not bad, but the shotgun is still one of the Waffen-2-Go and is almost always used in close combat. So if you just play a few rounds, you will sooner or later reach the amount of damage on your own. Of course, you can also force the whole thing and only go hunting with any shotgun. But then choose suitable locations that do not allow weapons at medium and high distances if possible. The easiest way to do the whole thing should be in group wedge mode. Alternatively, you can use the group help, as recommended by Epic. As a reward you will receive 2,500 experience points.

Visit Loot Lake, Polar Peak and Pressure Plant (1x)

With this task, Epic sends you to the most important locations of the recently completed “Showdown” event (the fight between the giant robot Doggus and the monster Cattus) and probably wants to show you its small dimensions on the map. Apart from that, the challenge is very simple: Simply rattle off the three locations in any order and you have done the task. As a reward you will receive the Loading screen: Cup course.

Fortnite Season 9: As a reminder of the showdown event, the loading screen “Ready for Fight” is available as a reward (bonus challenges).

Revive a friend in different matches (3x)

For this task you have to play with a friend in any group or team mode and bring them back to life three times. Of course you can rush into battle for this purpose, but it should be much faster if you build a correspondingly high ramp and jump down from there to lose health. All you have to do is scratch your buddies off the floor three times and you’re done. This time there are stately ones waiting as a reward 5,000 experience points on you.

Damage opponents with assault rifles (2,500 points)

After the shooting festival with the shotgun, this task is the turn of the assault rifle, with which you should achieve a total of 2,500 points of damage. Again, Epic has chosen a very popular and frequently used ratchet, so it shouldn’t take too long to collect the necessary amount of damage. Just play a few rounds in the group wedge or use the group help and the task will take care of itself. As a reward, this time you will get plenty 5,000 experience points.

Dance with a monster skeleton (1x)

If you followed the showdown event on July 20th or even remotely noticed anything about it, you already know which monster skeleton we are talking about. If not: It is the remains of the monster “Cattus” that the giant robot “Doggus” left behind on the island after the epic battle. You can find the skeleton northwest of Salty Springs. It’s as big as a mountain, and Doggus’ sword, still stuck in his skull, is even bigger, so it’s impossible to miss it when aiming for the center of the map as you land.

Fortnite Season 9: You can find the monster skeleton northwest of Salty Springs (bonus challenges).

The rest of the task should be clear: land on or next to the skeleton and start any dance emote, then you have done the task. As a reward you will receive the Loading screen: Cup course.

Fortnite Season 9: In keeping with the World Cup, the “Cup Course” loading screen is given as a reward (bonus challenges).

Be among the last 15 (5x) in duo or team matches with a friend

This challenge is much more demanding than the previous ones. You first need at least one other companion with whom you can do your rounds as a duo, but you can also do more. The aim is to get among the last 15 players alive in five different game rounds. The best thing to do is hold back a little and rather play carefully. In other words: Land in remote locations and avoid fighting – especially larger battles. With enough patience and luck, you surprisingly often make it among the last living. As a reward this time there are fat ones 10,000 experience points.

Damage opponents with submachine guns (2,500 points)

The third and final of its kind during the Overtime Event. This time you have to look for submachine guns and deal 2,500 points of damage with them. The SMGs are not as popular as shotguns or ars, but they can do quite a bit of damage at short and medium distances. We again recommend the group wedges or the group help in order to reach the amount of damage quickly. At least the effort is worth it, because there are more 10,000 experience points.

Score a goal on an indoor soccer field (1x)

For the final task of the event, you should score a goal on an indoor soccer field. Anyone who has been playing Fortnite for a long time should remember the indoor soccer field well, even if it has hardly played an important role lately. You can find the indoor soccer field halfway between Snobby Shores and Neo Tilted. Basically you can’t overlook the huge hall. Just march in and kick one of the balls lying around into one of the two gates, and you’ve already completed the challenge. As a reward there is that Loading screen: Season 9.
