SQUARE ENIX today released FINAL FANTASY XIV Online Patch 5.15. This update presents the Warriors of Light with new challenges, including a new PvP mode for players who like to compete against other players, and the first major update to the Blue Mage limited job, with content to enjoy alone or with friends.
Below are more details about the content of Patch 5.15:
- New PvP Frontline: Onsal Hakair (Danshig Naadam) – This new frontline map and ruleset connects each of the major corporations in Eorzea with a Xaela tribe of the Azim Steppe, allowing them to demonstrate their martial arts in the battle for control of territory. Each team must work together to capture ‘Oovo’, bases that earn a team points as long as they control them. The first team to collect the required number of points is the winner.
- Blue Mage Job Updates – Following on from its release last year, FINAL FANTASY XIV Online’s first limited job is getting its first major update.
- Level cap increased from level 50 to level 60
- New Blue Mage Job quests
- Learn new, iconic Blue Magic Spells
- Additional Masked Carnival Stage – Blue Mages can challenge themselves in these Blue Mage-exclusive quests to earn weekly rewards.
- Introducing the Blue Mage Log – Form a team of Blue Mages to conquer various dungeons and trials with teamwork and strategic use of blue magic. Players can earn weekly rewards by conquering specific targets, including challenging “prime targets” that earn even higher bounties.
- New mount, minion, crafting recipes, achievements and more.
