Game of Thrones season 7 premieres tomorrow. Who is still alive?
Find out who is alive, who is dead and who is a resurrected
The seventh season of Game of Thrones will premiere in Russia on July 17.
With each episode, the series has become more and more popular. After watching an episode, viewers begin to discuss the events that have happened and to anticipate what is going to happen next.
It’s been over a year since the last episode was released. Hundreds of characters and a multitude of events may have confused even the most die-hard fan. Let’s refresh our memory a bit.
Spoiler alert, season 6.
1. Jon Snow is alive.
Jon Snow was killed at the end of the 5th season, at the beginning of the 6th he is revived by the “red woman” Melisandre.
He meets with Sansa Stark, who has escaped from Ramsay Bolton. She also convinces Jon to defy the Boltons to regain control of Winterfell.
The start of the fight was a failure, and Sansa lost her brother Rickon. However, Snow is victorious in the battle for the northern lands.
Jon is proclaimed King in the North by the northern lords for his services.
2. Most of the main characters in King’s Landing die from a forest fire.
Cersei Lannister killed many residents of King’s Landingordering wildfire supplies to be set on fire.
A powerful explosion claimed the lives of Margaery Tyrell, her family, a couple of Lannisters, and the annoying His Grace.
A satisfied Cersei looks longingly at the smoking brick.
Her youngest son, Tommen, learns of the death of his beloved wife, cannot bear the horror of his mother’s act and jumps out of the window: now Cersei has no children, just as the witch had predicted.
When we last see Cersei, she’s claiming the Iron Throne. We can only guess at the acts of violence she will commit in the future.
Fortunately, the dead Margaery’s grandmother, Olenna, is alive and well.
He arrives in Dorne and conspires with Varys and Ellaria against the Lannisters.
3. Daenerys leaves for the Iron Throne
Season after season, Daenerys curries favor with the eastern lands, but makes no attempt to reclaim the Iron Throne.
And on it once sat his father Aerys Targaryen, the “Mad King.” And so, Daenerys Targaryen finally sets sail for Westeros with three dragons and Tyrion Lannister as Hand.
It was time!
Daenerys also allies with the Ironborn Yara Greyjoy, who has decided to take the Iron Islands from her uncle. She seized them after the murder of her father.
4. The cruelty of the Stark sisters
Several seasons of Arya honing her skills as an assassin, then trying to become a nobody in the House of Black and White.
She is trained in martial arts, poison control and finally receives an assignment that she doesn’t get.
A girl tries to be killed, but is victorious in a “fight” with the Black and White House and is sent to Westeros.
One of the strongest scenes of the 6th seasonArya kills Walder Frey after serving him a cake with the dismembered parts of his children.
So he crosses some names off his “revenge list.”
And Sansa Stark has found a way to get back at Ramsay Bolton for Rickon’s abusive marriage and murder: she’s let the dogs eat Ramsay alive.
5. Bran is the next Three-Eyed Raven.
In the sixth season there were a lot of problems because of Bran. For example, Hodor loses his mind when he is led to believe that his purpose in life is to hold the door (In English. “Hold the door”), which the rebellious dead try to open.
The phrase gradually transforms into “Hodor” (In English. “Hodor”).
Bran may have had something to do with the Mad King’s madness as well. However, all the mishaps helped him acquire magical powers.
At the end of the season, Bran becomes the Three-Eyed Raven, replacing the old man in the tree. He returns to have visions of the past and partially knows the secret of the origins of his stepbrother Jon Snow.
Apparently, his father was Rhaegar Targaryen.
6. What happened to Benjen Stark
Benjen disappeared early in the first season, but has been referred to by numerous characters throughout the action.
At the end of the sixth season, Benjen rescues Bran Stark and his partner Mira. He explains that the scouts were attacked by White Walkers while walking past the Wall, one of whom stabbed him with an ice spear and left him for dead.
The children of the forest saved his life by piercing his heart with a shard of dragon crystal. However, like the other Winterspawn, he cannot pass through the Wall, which is protected by ancient magic.
7. Sam set out to learn
Sam, Gilly and their son arrive in the Old City. On the record, Sam announces that his goal is to become a maester.
You are allowed to enter the Citadel’s library, where you can now acquire more knowledge.
This is a plot line that is not fully revealed. Maybe she’s the one that sheds light on the white walkers.
A couple of tips from me.
- It is better to watch the series in its original language with Russian subtitles. The play on words intended by the authors cannot be translated into Russian without losing the meaning. And also the intonations, the voices.
- On the night of July 17-18, a Moscow metro station will host the screening of the premiere of the seventh season of Game of Thrones. Which one, I don’t know. If you know anything about it, please share the information.
