The Overwatch League will be broadcast on Disney XD, ABC and ESPN

Blizzard is tackling the upcoming Overwatch League in a big way. The company has signed a deal with ESPN to broadcast the competition on various channels, namely ABC, Disney XD and ESPN 1, 2 and 3. The first broadcast is already tonight (as in, the night from Wednesday to Thursday).

The deal mainly revolves around live broadcasts and replays, but ESPN says it wants to ‘make full use’ of all content that can come from the Overwatch League. So there may be more programs to come. It is not all that important for gamers in the Netherlands, but nevertheless important for the mainstream content of games worldwide.
