Garou: Mark of the Wolves 2 imagined by the Streets of Rage 4 studio
Can you imagine Garou: Mark of the Wolves 2 developed by those responsible for Streets of Rage 4?
If you need help, LizardCube is ready to surprise you again with what it calls “fanart” presented in a recent broadcast, in which it spoke about the creative process through which the return of the mythical SEGA series was created.
During a special broadcast called “From Wonder Boy to Streets of Rage 4”, LizardCube focused on its artistic department, which works with a very specific motto, to create live digital paintings. The result is possible to see in the glorious Streets of Rage 4, but now you can also imagine what it would be like if applied to Garou: Mark of the Wolves.
Ben Fiquet (Art Director) and Julian Nguyen-You (Scenario Supervisor) are primarily responsible for the artistic department at LizardCube and they are the ones who transformed Sprites from Garou: Mark of the Wolves to create a “live digital painting” in which they imagine a sequel to that classic and still wink at SNK.
In the video below, starting at the 1 hour and 9 minute mark, you can see the process by which the image above was created and this reveals by itself how SNK fans these creatives are. The character BossFur was shared in 2016 by SNK in an image with conceptual art and appears here to show how attentive they are to the history of SNK.
Now we can only hope that SNK has the same spirit that SEGA had for SOF4!
