Ghost Recon: Wildlands expansion Fallen Ghosts announced
Ubisoft has announced the second major expansion for Ghost Recon: Wildlands, called Fallen Ghosts. The expansion takes place after the main game, while a civil war has broken out. The only army in the country, the Unidad, is deploying a special unit, the Los Extranjeros. This includes former members of the cartel, veterans and hitmen. The most important goal? Take out US agents. Including of course the Ghosts.
As part of the Ghosts, you have to rescue CIA members and American citizens from the country in the expansions. Among other things, the Ghosts end up in a jungle full of elite soldiers. The expansion includes fifteen new missions and four new bosses. Players start with a new character who is already level 30 and players can level up to level 35 and gain nine new skills. There are also six new weapons.
Season pass holders can download the dlc from May 30th. Other players have to wait until June 6.
Sega wants to bring back old IPs in the future
Sega says it wants to revive a number of old franchises ‘on the way to 2020’. The company wants to invest in promising titles to make big hits, instead of ‘mediocre hits’. Yes, that seems like a great goal for any game company to us.
Sega has not yet said which games it concerns, but we already know, for example, that a Shenmue 3 is being worked on. The Guard does have some ideas for Sega though. A remaster of the first two Shenmue games, for example, or a new Jet Set Radio. Or a new Power Stone. Do it Sega, do it!
Project Rap Rabbit’s kickstarter is live
You’ve already read that the creators of games like Parappa the Rapper and Gitaroo Man are working on a new rhythm game called Project Rap Rabbit. The Kickstarter page of that game is now live and it is asking $ 1.1 million, which should be in by June 19. The game is in the works for PC and PlayStation 4, but an Xbox One version is available for $ 3.1 million and a Switch edition for $ 4.95 million. That’s a lot of money.
Rap Rabbit is going to be another old-fashioned swinging rhythm game, with a unique twist. The game has several ‘paths’ that can be taken during music tracks depending on which beat is chosen. A bit like a musical dialogue wheel. Cool!
AMC’s Preacher is a nice and smooth series based on a comic book about a pastor with special powers and his Irish vampire mate. Sounds logical, right? You should definitely check out the first season, but below you will find the teaser trailer of the second season that starts at the end of June.
Preacher was first published as a comic book by Vertigo in 1995. 75 songs have been released.
Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 announced
There we have another Lego game! Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 will be released on November 17 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and the Switch version should be available for the holidays. Although a full trailer has not yet been released, the teaser below shows at least Baby Groot and Doctor Strange. The full trailer will follow on May 23.
TT Games came out with the original in 2013, but made Lego Marvel’s Avengers in 2016. However, Marvel Super Heroes gives the opportunity to use a much wider roster of characters from the Marvel Universe, including those that are not in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The new game features a hub world, Chronopolis, and levels set in different periods of Earth, as well as levels set on the planet Sakaar from the Planet Hulk stories. According to TT Games, there will also be several narrative paths to walk, which is unique to a Lego game. Like Dimensions, Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 also includes competitive multiplayer for four players.
Launch trailer Injustice 2, game will be available Friday
Tokyo’s multiplayer trailer 42
Have you ever seen a trailer of Tokyo 42? This is a very stylish, isometric open world shooter that will be released on PC and Xbox One at the end of this month and also coming to PlayStation 4 in July. The game also includes a multiplayer mode, which is now extensively shown for the first time in the trailer below.
Each player starts with a random skin and little ammo. Players are supposed to hide among the common people and build their arsenal without other players seeing them. Because from that moment on, of course, hell breaks out and katanas, pistols, rocket launchers and grenades are used to kill each other. There are five different maps available at launch. Check out the trailer. This looks really fat, doesn’t it?

LawBreakers gets its second closed beta on May 18
Boss Key Productions, the studio of Gears of War creator Cliff Bleszinski, announced a second closed beta for the shooter LawBreakers from May 18-21. It has now been two months since the previous beta ran and according to Boss Key a lot of things have been adjusted. There is a character called the Wraith, a kind of cyber-ninja with triple jumps and wall jumps. There is also a new folder called Reactor. Furthermore, custom games and a spectator mode are added and finally a new mode called Blitz Ball. Here, players must pick up a ball in the center of the map and bring it to the enemy’s base. The ball itself also counts down before it explodes.
For the time being, LawBreakers is only available for PC. Those interested can try here to sign up for the beta.
The game room of the Guard
Each Night Watch written by this Watch shows a picture of an object or game from its game room. This time it is the turn of this very special coat rack. A former colleague of the Guard, Marcel Vroegrijk, once gave it to the Guard for his birthday. He then hung in the hallway of the Guard’s previous apartment for quite some time, but in his more recent home he’s just standing somewhere in the game room. A shame of course, because what a hip coat rack this is! It naturally depicts the first cave that players encounter in the original The Legend of Zelda. In it, an old man says it is dangerous to go on an adventure alone and gives Link a sword.
