The turn of the year is now imminent and many smartphone customers may be looking forward to the first half of 2023. Because in this period, almost all smartphone manufacturers besides Google will be releasing new Android devices. A mid-range model could steal the show from many others.

With the Pixel 6a, Google has already been able to bring some strong things into the middle class below the 500 euro mark. The first Tensor chip makes various smart functions available that other competitors do not offer at this level. Not even with their more expensive smartphones. According to consistent reports, the Pixel 7a will bring about a change of times for the middle class. Not just on Google.

A low price is no longer everything

Samsung has now also established that only good prices are no longer a selling point. There are now many competitors in this field. You have to be able to stand out. Google has been doing this for a long time. There, for example, the a smartphones had the same camera as the top devices. Until the Pixel 6a, it was different again for the first time.

Maybe that was an exception. The wind could change with the Pixel 7a, then the main camera will probably be what you know from the current top models. THAT is a real argument for a smartphone. Especially at Google, the Pixel devices have stood for their very strong camera performance for years.

Google can convince with real smart functions

It doesn’t stop with the camera, the newer Tensor chipset “G2” could again be a good argument if it’s in the Pixel 7a. Then, in addition to Call Screen, Live Translation, Magic Eraser, Assistant Voice Typing, there will also be new features like “Crystal Clear Calls”. No other smartphone in this price range offers this.
