Rockstar will offer new players the opportunity to start a new adventure in GTA Online on an equal footing with other more advanced players. The novelty will be available in the new version of GTA V, which will not have a free upgrade for current generation consoles.
On both PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, the developer will offer a total of GTA$4,000,000 that can be used to buy a bunch of stuff that would normally take forever to get. According to Rockstar, it will be possible to buy “the essentials from a wide variety of properties, vehicles and weapons”, in addition to being able to choose between careers such as Executive, Arms Dealer, Nightclub Owner or Biker.
GTA Online: PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will have new career selection
“You can go for the basics — an executive estate with no upgrades and a simple weapon and vehicle combo — or executive estates full of upgrades and customizations,” the company said on its blog. According to the text, players will also have at their disposal “cutting-edge vehicles and a full arsenal to fill a Weapons Locker”.

The producer also said that although the 4 million bucks offered “in the range” are a good way to start the online campaign on an equal basis with veterans, players will be able to save and take 25% of the money to use during the game. The text informs that “it is possible to take a maximum of GTA$1,000,000 of these funds to GTA Online”, but at the cost of starting the adventure with fewer upgrades, for example.
In addition, longtime gamers who are considering continuing to venture around Los Santos online on next-gen consoles will have the ability to migrate their data over to PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series family. The novelty becomes available on March 15 for all players.

According to Rockstar, whoever chooses to migrate the data “will win a Karin S95 fully converted and tuned by the experts at Hao’s Special Works, in addition to a set of Chameleon paints applicable to all vehicles”. It is necessary to pay attention, however, to the fact that although all the money earned during the online campaign is transferred with the account, “GTA$ purchased can only be transferred between platforms of the same family”.
New versions of Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online for current generation consoles will be available digitally on March 15th on PSN and the Microsoft Store. Those who opt for physical media will have to wait until April, on a date not yet announced by Rockstar.
