GTFO launches its product store, check it out.
GTFO finally launches its real store of products, in which, the Players will be able to purchase a handcrafted bust of one of the title’s most iconic items: the gas mask.
Swedish game developer 10 Chambers – made up of industry veterans known as PAYDAY: The Heist and PAYDAY 2 – released Version 1.0 of GTFO, a co-operative horror FPS, last week during The Game Awards.
The title ranked second on Steam’s best-selling games list globally and saw a 2,000% increase in concurrent gamers. Today, the team launches the GTFO product store.
Since the title was released in Early Access in 2019, it has brought together loyal and dedicated players, which has grown one of the most active Discord servers in the world, with over 200,000 members.
Until now, these players haven’t had a chance to show their passion for GTFO while not playing. This changes with the release of the game’s official store.
“When we decided that we would make GTFO products, we also decided that we didn’t want to produce traditional pieces like a T-shirt with the game’s logo,” says Ulf Andersson, Creative Director at 10 Chambers. “First and foremost, we wanted to create something that we – and hopefully more people – really wanted to use.
Second, we have a number of creative people on our team, many of them interested in streetwear and fashion. We wanted to unleash this creativity in GTFO products, taking the game brand into fashion, not the other way around.”
Alongside a wide range of streetwear-style sweatshirts, t-shirts, jackets, bags, caps and hats, you can find exclusive and collectible items. Among them are, for example, a work vest and a helmet with the logo of one of the mining companies that is part of GTFO – Santonian Industries.
Another item is a handmade bust of one of the game’s gas masks, produced with a mixture of epoxy resin and iron powder, which gives a natural patina effect through oxidation. The mask also includes a foot made of stone with the GTFO logo on a copper plate.
“In the case of the GTFO Mask, we wanted to create a genuine collectible piece, handcrafted by our friends at Arclight Company based in Stockholm, Sweden. This bust will be limited in production to just 100 units – the way it’s produced, it ages over time and takes on a dazzling patina look,” comments Robin Björkell, Communications Director at 10 Chambers.
“We hope that our community will enjoy the products we offer and realize how we really are dedicated to this project.”
The GTFO store starts operations today and you can access it from this link.
GTFO is available on Steam for R$74.99, but to celebrate the release of Version 1.0, the title is 25% off.
