AirPods VS Android: How Apple’s Headphones Work Cross-Platform?

AirPods are really beautiful for iPhone users – but what if some of you have Android devices?

I live in an all-Apple house with iPhones, Macs, iPads, and Apple TVs in my house. But I don’t represent the majority of people. Most of my friends are in another different circle – they might love their Macs and iPads, but they also use Android phones in everyday life. It’s easy to see why Apple’s AirPods can draw people completely into the Apple sphere, but it’s harder for those who live between different branches of the device.

Questions about AirPods?

If you have any questions about your AirPods, feel free to leave a comment in the space below!

This compatibility might appear to exist only between Apple products as it usually does but it doesn’t! It is today quite possible to connect your Apple Airpods to your Android Smartphone. And you will find that the procedure is really simple, you just need to know it. We will show you that in this article.

To carry out the procedure, you must have your Airpods in their charging case, and press the small white button which is located the back of this famous case. Hold down for a few seconds until a little white light comes on flash inside the case (a very small bulb is located just between the two headphones). When this light is flashing, this means that your Airpods are in pairing mode. So they are detectable by any other Bluetooth device, and in our case precisely your smartphone Android. So enter your phone and go to the Bluetooth settings, you should see the device appear in the ” device detected “. You will see them appear under their classic name Airpods.

Although this is very practical if you want to take advantage of Airpods without buying hardware from Apple, we encounter a few small details that come a little to disrupt the use of those cis. Indeed, we feel some lack of fluidity more often than on Apple because they benefit from optimization software which cannot be accessed by Android users. Nothing very penalizing however.

In addition, you will not have access to the main features that Airpods offer, such as automatic pause when you remove an Airpod from your ear.

However, there are still some very active features, such as the mode mono with one of the two headphones plugged into its box, so as not necessarily to have both ears in music, or the double tap on one of the two earphones to pause or pick up a phone call!

  • Pairing problem

It sometimes happens that the connection between the Airpods and your smartphone does not happen automatically. When this is the case, try to take out your Airpods of their case, then replace them and retry the procedure explained above. Also try to turn off bluetooth of your smartphone so restart connection. Tell yourself that in a large majority of problems, turning everything off to turn everything back on and trying again is one of the solutions that works the best.

If none of this worked, there is still the solution to reset your Airpods. For that, it will be necessary hold button at the back of the case for approximately 15 seconds, until you see the LED blinking orange. And then repeat the pairing procedure.

  • Sound volume problems

There is a sound problem airpods that come out often weaker than on Iphone. And that can quickly become a problem if you want to listen to music in a noisy place. However, there is a solution to that, to be able to hear a little better. To do this, you will have to access the two volume settings which you have access to. Because you should know that when you connect an audio device in bluetooth, he has his own sound setting. This means that you can adjust the sound on your smartphone, but also on your Airpods. To do this, press the volume knob. The volume will appear on your smartphone screen. You will need to click on the down arrow next to the volume control, to bring up all the volume sliders, including the one we are looking for, bluetooth. If it’s not full, then increase it to be able to hear better.

Why is it not recommended to use AirPods Pro with Android?

[GUIDE] : AirPods: how to use them with an Android smartphone? Part three

Contrary to what one might imagine, It is possible to operate AirPods Pro on Android device. For those who would feel drawn to Apple’s excellence without ever having taken the conversion step, the temptation might be great to experience it. However, such an association, although technically permissible, deteriorates all the interest that this kind of high-end product can present. Imagine a Chambertin grand cru, opened in the wrong year, and without ventilation… Well removing AirPods from their ecosystem would amount to the same thing, namely losing the flavor that makes them unique on IOS or macOS. Thus, connecting them to the Bluetooth of a Samsung, Huawei or Xiaomi would be a return to the banally functional, to a bland intoxication, in short. But for the Saint-Thomas, we will still tell you how to proceed!
