[GUIDE] : Animal Crossing: New Horizons – How to Complete Project K and Bring KK Slider to Your Island

As you progress through Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you will eventually be asked to work on Project K. Basically, you will be asked to prettify the island in order to host a KK Concert slider. There are several steps required to get this far in the game and even more steps to complete Project K. Here is a guide to completing Project K and bringing KK Slide to your island.

How to complete Project K and bring KK Slider to your island

  • Improve services to residents in a building
  • Talk to Tom Nook
  • Build the campsite
  • Invite new villagers to live on your island
  • Build new houses
  • Upgrade your island
  • Get feedback from KS
  • Wait for KK Cursor to appear
  • 1. Upgrade residents’ services to a building

To get this far in the game, you need to have upgraded Resident Services from tent to building. If you haven’t already, here’s a guide.

    2. Talk to Tom Nook

You will find Tom in the new Resident Services building. When you talk to him he gives you a rundown of everything you can do in the new building and then he mentions that he wants to work for Project K. Basically the goal of this project is to get KK Slider for organize a concert on your island. To do this, you will need to make your island a more interesting place.

    3. Build the campsite

Tom Nook will tell you he’s interested in bringing more people to the island. He will ask you to choose the perfect location for a campsite. Browse your island and select a location for the construction of the campsite. It will appear the next day. The campsite will not be usable on the first day it opens, so you will have to wait until the next day for someone to show up.

    4. Invite new villagers to live on your island

You need more people to live on your island if you want to coax KK into giving a concert there. There are two different ways to attract new residents:

    A. The campsite

The first camper to show up on your campsite is chosen at random, but eventually you will be able to invite specific villagers to your island using amiibo cards. However, this can only be done once you’ve unlocked the option to use an amiibo. While a camper is visiting, you can ask them to become a permanent resident of your island. Some of them play hard, so you’ll have to invite them a few times before you agree to move in.

    B. Island excursions with Nook Miles tickets

You can also invite villagers to your island using Nook Miles tickets. Buy a ticket at the NookStop at Resident Services, then take a plane to another island. During your trip, you might just meet a villager you’ve never seen before. Talk to them and invite them to live on your island.

    5. Build new houses

In order to accommodate all of those villagers you invited, you will need to build a few more houses. Speak to Tom Nook at Resident Services. He is eager to sell more land for housing. You will need to pay him 10,000 bells for each house kit you take away from him. For your efforts, you will be paid Nook Miles once someone moves in. You can have a total of 10 villagers on your island, so keep saving and placing new lands until you hit the limit.

    6. Upgrade your island

The most difficult and time consuming part of Project K is increasing the Star Level of your Island Rating. Visit Isabelle at Resident Services to see what your island’s current star rating is. She will let you know which area you currently need to work on to improve your score.

Basically, you will need to build more houses, invite more villagers to move in, and increase the overall look of your island by placing decorations and items all over the place in order to get a higher rating. It will probably take hundreds of thousands of bells and several days.

    7. Get feedback from KS

Continue to connect with Isabelle at Resident Services every day to see what needs to be done around your island. Each time, she will read comments from visitors to your island. Someday she’ll read a note signed by “KS” Nook and Isabelle will quickly note that these comments must have been written by none other than KK Slider himself.

Nook will then call KK from his phone. After a brief conversation, Nook will tell you that the famous musician will appear on your island starting tomorrow.

    8. Wait for KK Cursor to appear

You will have to wait for KK Cursor to appear on your island. He’ll likely appear the next day after Nook calls him. When that happens, you and your villagers can all come together and listen to this puppy’s awesome tunes. He’ll even give you a new track called Welcome to Horizons.

KK Slider then becomes a base island visitor who appears every Saturday in front of Resident Services. For most of the day until 5 p.m., he’ll play whatever songs he wants. However, once 6pm rolls around, you can ask it to play a specific song. A great perk here is that it will even give you a copy of the song you requested, which you can then take home and put in your stereo.

    Live in Concert

Now you know how to get KK Cursor to spawn regularly on your island. It’s a great way to collect all of its tracks and just bring more fun to your game on Saturday. Good luck with Project K! Hope you can quickly level up your island star level and get an amazing island rating from your favorite guitar wielding doggo.

How to get KK Slider to visit your island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Guitar-loving dog KK Slider can come visit your island and play a concert for the residents of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. There are, however, a few steps you will need to take to get there.

After upgrading Resident Services from a tent to a suitable building, go talk to Tom Nook. He will say he has something he wants your help with. Sit down and ask what it is, and he’ll tell you he wants to bring in KK Slider.

For the concert to happen you will need an audience, so you will need to get more visitors to get to your island. You will need to place a campsite somewhere and Tom Nook will give you what you need to set it up.

After setting up the island for visitors, you will also have to work to get more residents. Tom Nook really wants a big audience for this show he has planned.

The third piece of the puzzle is to make your island beautiful. Make sure there are plenty of flowers, furniture, fences, and other things for your residents. Pull out the weeds and tidy up any trees that get in the way. Talk to Isabelle whenever you need help figuring out what to do next.

After that, it’s a waiting game. Keep working on your island and wait for the big KK Slider to decide it’s a good place to visit. He will contact Tom Nook when the time is right. Once he arrives the first time, he will fall in love with the island and will visit every Saturday to put on a show.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons – How to unlock Kéké on your island

What would Animal Crossing: New Horizons be without Tom Nook, Thibou and Marie? Without forgetting of course our charming musician, Kéké. He too is available in this opus and we give you the solution to unlock him and bring him to your island.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons relies on the length and especially the regularity of the players. Thus, not everything falls raw in their mouths and some items to unlock require action on their part. This is the case, for example, with Marie: to make her come, you must first follow a certain procedure, which we will detail in this guide. The same goes for the very famous guitarist, Kéké, who rocked a good number of parts and players in the previous opus. Eh, yes, it is indeed available in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Here’s how to unlock it and get it to come to your island.

First, it is imperative to have built the building for the Residents’ Office and thus have unlocked Marie on her island. A manipulation which, like all the others, takes time but happens naturally if you play regularly. Once installed in the infrastructure, Marie will be there to tell you the reputation, counted in stars, of your island. At this precise moment, Tom Nook will tell you about his “Project K”, which is to manage to invite the illustrious musician. To do this, we must accomplish three objectives, summarized as follows by Tom Nook:

    • “First, we are attracting more visitors”.
    • “Second, we are increasing the island’s population.”
    • “Third, we roll up our sleeves to shine the image of our corner of paradise”.

To attract more visitors, Tom Nook will then ask you to position the campsite, for which you will need to collect 15 wood, 15 softwood, 15, hardwood and 15 nuggets. Its purpose is to attract tourists that you can meet and convince to stay on your island. This is consistent with the second objective which is to increase the population of the island. In this regard, you can just as easily visit other islands thanks to the Miles Nook tickets, to buy at the Nook Stop terminal for 2,000 miles, and talk to the characters there to persuade them to come and live with you. Also note that it is possible to boost this with Animal Crossing amiibos. Finally, in order to “make the image shine” of your corner of paradise, know that it is possible to buy plans for decorative elements on the Nook Stop terminal by selecting “Redeem Nook Miles”. It is also possible to embellish the island with flowers and other natural elements.

By performing all of these actions, your island’s reputation should climb quite quickly. Once the 3 stars are reached, Marie will read Kéké’s commentary and Tom Nook will bring him to your island the next day.. Afterwards, the charming and enchanting musical ballads of Kéké are yours!
