Peach is one of the many activities that players can participate in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, but interested fishermen will need to build a fishing hut first. This upgrade can be accessed fairly early on at Colony Rank 2 and will only cost you 600 supplies and 45 raw materials to build. But you’ll unlock more than just fishing line once you’ve given your anglers a place to rest and work.
Fishing in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is unlocked by building the Fishing Shack.
As I mentioned earlier, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Fishing Hut becomes available when your colony is Tier 2, and it costs 600 supplies and 45 raw materials to build. Once your fishing hut is up and running, talk to the little kid again to earn your fishing line and access his fishing task checklist. These tasks are simple in concept, but will require some serious angling. Each will require a fixed amount of a specific fish or four, and you will be rewarded for your efforts (the reward is displayed to the right of the interface). You can return the fish at any time, so you don’t have to wait to get them all.
The fishing itself is simple. Venture to any body of water (preferably a place where you can see fish swimming and jumping), then click the D-Pad to bring up the Quick Radial menu. Select your fishing line from here (the fish icon) to equip your fishing line, then hold the left trigger to aim and the right trigger to cast. After throwing you can release the left trigger, but keep your finger on the right trigger primed. The controller with vibrator and you will hear a loud lapping sound when a fish bites, and you will have to pull the trigger to hook the fish.
From there you will have to mash the A / Cross button to reel in the fish, while using the left joystick to pull the fish towards you. The line will turn mocking and red as you stress it out, and you’ll want to stop both pulling and spinning to keep it from breaking. Once the fish is near Eivor, it will descend and add it to your inventory. You can either return the fish to the fishing hut or sell it for massive cash. If you want to know where specific fish are hiding, be sure to purchase the “Fantastic Fish and Where to Find Them” notes from the vendors as they appear. These won’t mark your map, but reading them will tell you where some fish like to hide.
Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla – How to Fish
Everyone needs a break from all the killing in Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, so why not take a break and fish for a while, and hey, at the same time, why not make a profit and sell those fish! The money could be used to upgrade your guns for more killings! It’s the perfect cycle!
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla How To Fish
Learning to fish in Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is easy. Once you’ve reached Settlement Rank 2 and built a Fishing Hunt, you can then fish in any body of water by pressing the D-pad to bring up the Control Wheel and choose the Rod to peach.
Once the fishing hut is completed by building it for 600 supplies and 45 raw materials, talk to the little kid there and he will give you the fishing line you can fish with! Fishing is very easy. First, head to any body of water, but preferably where you can see fish swimming. Press the D-pad to open the control dial and select the fishing line.
Once you’ve selected the line, all you need to do is aim at the fishing line with the left trigger, then cast the line using the right trigger. Be patient, and you should feel the controller growl when a fish bites the line. Or watch the hook go underwater with a thud! Once that has happened, pull the correct trigger to hook them up! Then quickly mash the A / X button to roll up the fish while pulling the left stick towards you!
It may be easier at first with the smaller fish, but once you start catching the larger fish they will offer a lot more resistance which you will notice with the red of the line! On larger or rarer fish, you don’t want to crush A / X as fast as humanly possible as there’s a good chance the line will break causing you to lose the fish. The best way to catch bigger fish is to relax periodically by squashing A / X, so that the line turns from red to normal. Keep alternating between the two colors and be patient, and you’ll be a master of fishing in no time!
You have two options when you have caught the fish; you can sell it for cash or return it to the fishing hut! If you are strapped for cash, fishing is a good way to earn it, not as good as raid, but it involves less kills! Fish is also an emergency remedy if there are no berries around you.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s got some peach, and it’s linked to an important new part of the game
As part of Ubisoft Forward, the developer shared a long list of new Assassin’s Creed Valhalla details regarding combat, how to recruit cats, and that you can switch between male and female Eivor at any point in the game.
Another detail confirmed during the presentation was that Valhalla will have a Fishing Mechanic – and it’s tied to another new system for the game. In Valhalla, your health doesn’t automatically regenerate over time, so you’ll need to find some means of reconstituting it. One way is to catch and eat fish.
Since Valhalla is set in 873 CE, the game does not feature actual fishing rods. So you’re just going to throw a line with your hand and try to catch a fish that way. Once you have a fish on the line, you will need to mash the A button to get it in. You need to control the direction of the fish as well as the tension of your line in order to successfully land the fish.
In the demo, we see Eivor catching a bullhead catfish, with the on-screen message saying it is a “regular” size, which probably means there will be more fish. smaller (and of different varieties) to catch. We don’t see Eivor picking the specific type of bait, so it’s not clear if you’ll be able to choose what you want to fish with. It’s also worth noting that Eivor casts its line from what appears to be a fishing village, but you can also fish from your long boat in open water.
In addition to catching fish, players can forage for food, such as mushrooms, in the desert to regain health.
Valhalla releases November 17 for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia. This will also happen on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X when these consoles are released, and players who purchase the game on the current generation can upgrade to the next generation edition for free.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Fish Locations Guide
One of the more realistic features added to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is the secondary activity of fishing. In this Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Fish Locations guide, we have given detailed information on how to fish in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, including the fishing locations and the rewards you receive.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla fish location
Fishing is considered one of the light activities of the game.
For this activity, you must first unlock the fishing hut, catch your fish, and trade them to Arth and his grandfather to receive your rewards.
How to fish
Fishing in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is unlocked at the Fishing Shack; which is available after the mission to England, where you are assigned a task to increase the influence of your city.
For this mission, you must construct houses and buildings for the members of your colony.
After reaching Rank 2 in Settlement (costs 600 Supplies and 45 Raw Materials), you will unlock the Fishing Hut.
The first step to fishing is heading to the river, where you will catch some fish.
Once at the location, simply press your D-pad and a menu will appear; select your fishing line from the fishing icon.
Once equipped, you need to focus on two things; aim and cast your line. You can aim using L2 / LT as for casting, use R2 / RT.
After catching the fish, use R2 / RT to hook and press X / A to remove it.
This method takes a lot of time and patience and if you don’t like to wait, we have an alternative method for you!
The alternative method requires barrels of oil. If you have them, you can throw them into the water, shoot them to cause an explosion.
This method kills any fish nearby, which you can simply catch once they are on the surface.
Once you’ve caught your fish, you can bring them back to Arth and his grandfather to exchange for rewards like runes, crafting materials, and tattoo designs.
