As in the last episodes, you will find in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla many choices to make: during the dialogues, the quests but especially at certain moments of the story.

Your choices will influence your relationships with the different characters. This will change: your entourage, you will not have the same people with you as the game progresses, the way the game behaves with you (more or less hostile) and of course: the end of the game.

This guide lists the choices you have to make as you progress through the game in chronological order.

There are only the important choices: any other choice that is not present in this guide has no particular impact on the long-term course of the game.

This guide contains spoilers on the events and the different possible endings of the game. Read them after your game to see the different possibilities or knowingly.

No choice blocks any side quests or optional objectives for 100%, trophies, and achievements.

CHOICE N ° 1: SIGURD – Prologue (Norway)

Choice: Take the goods or Leave the goods

At the end of the first chapter in Norway, you can choose toTake the goods in England or Leave the goods in Styrbjorn

Consequences / Differences:

Sigurd makes his position very clear: he wants to leave the goods behind and make a fresh start. However, taking the goods with you was very useful!

If you choose to take the goods with you: you will have a large raw material bonus to construct buildings in your colony, but your relationship with Sigurd will deteriorate. This is not a strong impact, but it does help ensure that Sigurd stays with you at the end or not.

If you choose to leave the goods, you will not get a bonus, but you will keep a good relationship with Sigurd.

Important : you will have 5 choices that impact your relationship with Sigurd, each time you can improve or deteriorate your relationship. The end of the game changes if you made more good choices or more bad choices.

CHOICE N ° 2: LEOFRITH – Ledecestrescire

[GUIDE] : Assassin's Creed Valhalla: What are the Consequences, Differences and Ends (Choice Guide) Part one

Choice: Kill or Save

At the end of the quests in the Ledecestrescire region in England, you can choose to kill Leofrith or spare him

Consequences / Differences:

Here, the choice will have no impact on the unfolding of the story but will apply a strong change in the flow of the game.

A few quests earlier, you got to know the Zealots, mercenaries who appear on the map under a white helmet icon.

These are the members of the Order of the Elders that you must kill for trophies and achievements.

Zealots are powerful enemies, and you don’t necessarily have the level to beat them when you encounter them. This is an important point to take into account.

If you choose to KILL him: The Zealots will be informed of your act, and will come to meet you in the open world. If you make this choice, expect to have visitors from time to time during your exploration phases.

ADVANTAGE: the Zealots must be found at random to be eliminated as part of the Order of the Elders. Choosing to kill Leofrith can save you a tremendous amount of time when searching for Zealots as some of them will come to you automatically.

Also, when you come across one, consider scanning it with your vision of Thor to mark it on the map and in the order menu.

If you choose to spare it: the Zealots will not become hostile, so you will be quieter during your exploration phases but you will have to spend a lot more time finding them.

CHOIX N ° 3: BIRNA – Grantebridgescire

[GUIDE] : Assassin's Creed Valhalla: What are the Consequences, Differences and Ends (Choice Guide) Part one

Choice: Birna / Lif / Galinn

The real traitor is Galinn, choosing correctly Brina will join your clan and potentially be there at the end of the story.

If you choose someone else, Birna won’t join you, and Soma will be disappointed in you.

CHOICE N ° 4: FINNR – East Anglia

[GUIDE] : Assassin's Creed Valhalla: What are the Consequences, Differences and Ends (Choice Guide) Part one

Choice 1: Kill Rued or Let Rued live.

After your attack on Burgh Castle, you will have a fight against Rued. At the end of it, you capture him and it’s up to you to either kill him or let him live.

Consequences / Differences:

The choice you make here will allow Finnr to join your camp or not.

• If you choose to Kill Rued, Oswald won’t be proud of you and you won’t be able to recruit Finnr.

• If you choose to Let Rued live, he will come at the end of Oswald’s marriage to request a duel.

You will therefore face a second choice:

Choice 2: Let Oswald fight or Fight in his stead.

• If you let Oswald fight, he succeeds in the fight, but you won’t be able to recruit Finnr.

• If you fight in his place, Finnr will be proud of you, and you can recruit him into your crew.

CHOICE N ° 5: RANDVI – Ravensthorpe (Sigurd choice)

[GUIDE] : Assassin's Creed Valhalla: What are the Consequences, Differences and Ends (Choice Guide) Part one

Choice: Start a relationship with Randvi or No.

After your passage in Asgard, you return to Ravensthorpe to continue your advance on the map towards new regions. While speaking to Randvi, a mission appeared in the dialogue choices: On the Road to Grantebridgescire. This is an important point and a bit of a trap …

This mission will aim to have a good time with Randvi, and may lead to starting a relationship with her.

There are a lot of different choices:

  • You don’t start the mission, or you refuse to go for a walk.
  • You start the mission, you head to Grantebridgescire but you refuse any advance from Randvi.
  • You start, finish the mission, then returning to Randvi you decide to break.
  • You start, complete the mission, then you stay with Randvi

Consequences / Differences:

This mission will impact your relationship with Randvi but has no impact on the unfolding of the story, however, there is a strong impact on Sigurd.

If you make sure to stay with Randvi after the mission, it will be seen as a bad point for Sigurd, and will lower your relationship status.

Important : you will have 5 choices that impact your relationship with Sigurd, (this one is the second) each time you can improve or deteriorate your relationship. The end of the game changes if you made more good choices or more bad choices.

If you make sure you aren’t with Randvi, either by not doing the mission or choosing to break up, you will keep a good relationship with Randvi.

CHOICE N ° 6: BASSIM AND SIGURD – Oxenfordscire

[GUIDE] : Assassin's Creed Valhalla: What are the Consequences, Differences and Ends (Choice Guide) Part one

Choice 1: Punch Bassin or Not

Choice 2: Punch Sigurd or Not

As you advance through the Oxenfordscire area, you will see the tense situation between you and Sigurd.

Your opinions differ, after the confrontation with Eadwyn you will end up having an argument between Bassim, Sigurd and you. You will have the choice of Punch Bassim or make a Deep inspiration, then then Punch Sigurd or say “that’s enough

Consequences / Differences:

This is once again a choice that will affect your relationship with Sigurd.

Important : you will have 5 choices that impact your relationship with Sigurd, (this is the third) each time you can improve or deteriorate your relationship. The end of the game changes if you made more good choices or more bad choices.

• If you punch Bassim, Sigurd or Two: your relationship with Sigurd will wane (bad choice)

• If you choose the peaceful approach for both dialogues, your relationship with Sigurd will increase (good choice)

CHOIX No. 7: Ivar and Ubbe – Sciropescire

[GUIDE] : Assassin's Creed Valhalla: What are the Consequences, Differences and Ends (Choice Guide) Part one

Choice 1: Send Ivar to Vahalla or Not

During the chapter of Sciropescira, the tension with Ivar will rise which will lead him to commit an unforgivable act.

This will trigger a fight, and at the end of it, you can choose tosend Ivar to Valhalla giving him his ax, or deprive him of it

Consequences / Differences:

Here, the consequences are less, and will only impact obtaining a ring later during the adventure.

Ubbe will give you the ring after Jorvik Chapter if you sent Ivar to Vahallla and depending on choice # 2

If you don’t send Ivar to the Vahalla, Ubbe won’t give you the ring.

Choice 2: Tell Ubbe the truth or Not

Back from your fight and your adventure in Sciropescira, you will end up meeting Ubbe, Ivar’s brother.

You will have the opportunity to explain the death of his brother to him with three different choices:

• Ivar had a beautiful death: Ubbe will give you the ring if you send his brother to Vahalla.

• Ivar had a bad death: Ubbe won’t give you the ring

• He wanted death: Ubbe won’t give you the ring

CHOICE N ° 8: DAG – Ravensthorpe

[GUIDE] : Assassin's Creed Valhalla: What are the Consequences, Differences and Ends (Choice Guide) Part one

Choice 1: Give or Refuse his ax to Dag

Once all the quests in the Hundred Region have been completed, you must return to report to Randvi to continue the story.

Dag will share with you his displeasure at not seeing Sigurd with you, then you will go to bed to be woken up by Dag in the middle of the night, for a fight to the death.

At the end of the fight, you can choose to give his ax to Dag, or to refuse him. As a reminder: a warrior can go to Vahalla and die honorably, only if he dies with his ax.

Consequences / Differences:

Dag is very close to Sigurd, so his death will impact your relationship with Sigurd.

• If you choose to give Dag the ax, he will die with dignity, and Sigurd will be happy.

• If you choose to deny Dag the ax, he will be dishonored and Sigurd will be angry.

Important : you will have 5 choices that impact your relationship with Sigurd, (this is the fourth) each time you can improve or deteriorate your relationship. The end of the game changes if you made more good choices or more bad choices.
