Consequences / Differences:

This choice has no major consequences, in all cases you will obtain an alliance with the region. Only the dialogues and cutscenes will change.

The important thing to know is that Herefrith is a member of the Order of Elder. You must eliminate it in any case after a while.

If you choose Hererfirth: Hunwald will be disappointed, and Herefrith will promise you his alliance. You don’t know right away that he is in the Order of the Ancients, it will be revealed to you later in the game.

If you choose Hunwald or Aelfgar, Herefrith will be angry, will bring in guards to kill everyone, and you will unlock a second part in this chapter.

You will immediately be informed that Herefrith is a member of the order, and you will proceed directly to the attack on his castle to go and kill him.

Choice: Designate the traitor: Gerhild or Lork

During the quests in the Essex region, you must investigate with Rollo to find the traitor in your ranks.

Two suspects emerge: Gerhild or Lork, you must listen to their justifications, look for clues, ask them questions to ultimately decide the traitor.

Consequences / Differences:

The choice does not really matter, in the end Rollo will join your clan regardless of your choice, here the only difference is the difficulty with which you will have to manage Estrid.

• If you choose Gerhild, who is the true traitor, Estrid will not be harmed during his kidnapping, and will not pose a problem for you in the next missions.

• If you choose Lork the wrong way, Estrid will be injured and may give you trouble in future missions.

One of the four is La Voute, and you should point it to Ljufvina once you are sure of yourself.

Consequences / Differences:

The choice will impact the relationship with the region but also the fate of the characters. This does not represent a significant change to the flow of the game or the story. You can just choose the situation you prefer

You will therefore be faced with your first choice: whether or not to let Trygve sacrifice himself by saying: Snotingehamscire must not lose anyone else or The choice is yours, Trygve.

Consequences / Differences:

• The choice is yours, Trygve: Trygve will choose to sacrifice himself, and he will end up burned. Vili will therefore be obliged to become Jarl after his father, and will not be able to join your clan at the end of the chapter.

It is also important to note that Vili really does not want to take over from her father, and dreams of discovering warmer regions.

Choice 2: Choosing between Vili and Trygve

If you refused Trygve to sacrifice himself in Choice 1, you will be able to choose who will take over from Hemming as Jarl

• I see a jarl in you: Vili will take your advice seriously and agree to become Jarl despite her desire to see something else. He will therefore not be able to join your clan.

I see Trygve as jarl, and you next to me: Vili will leave Jarl’s place to Trygve, and join you in your clan.
