Honor V30 and V30 Pro – everything we know about them

The end of each year is full of premieres of new smartphones from various manufacturers. Of course, the most popular are the annual iPhones or the new Pixels for several years. This does not mean, however, that we should close ourselves to these two producers. Especially when we are looking for a new smartphone with a very good camera. Honor V30 or V30 Pro, which will premiere soon, will surely satisfy all mobile photographers.

According to leaks, the Huaweia Mate 30 will be the Honor V30. It looks really good on paper; on board will be the latest Kirin 990 chip, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB for data. The 6.4-inch IPS screen will occupy a large part of the front panel along with the hole for the front 32 MPix selfie camera. On the back there will be 3 cameras: main (60 MPix!), wide-angle (16 MPix) and macro (2 MPix). The battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh will be able to charge with a power of 22.5 W with the charger included in the set. It is also quite likely that access to 5G networks will be possible from the basic model of the V30 series. The estimated price is ~500 euros.

Honor V30 Pro

The more powerful variant of the V30 series with the note Pro is a really powerful device. And I don’t mean dimensions. These are identical to the model below, i.e. the screen, this time OLED, is 6.4 inches. The processor is the Kirin 990 in the 5G variant. We will get 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of data memory. The front camera will be double, which can open the door for Honor to the top of smartphones for selfies. The back is kind of… familiar. The identical “island” layout with cameras can be found in last year’s Mate 20 Pro model. However, changes have taken place in the matrices themselves, because the main one with a resolution of amazing 60 MPix will be a completely new solution. The other cameras are wide-angle (16 MPix), macro (2 MPix) and depth measurement (5 MPix). The 4200mAh cell will support 40W SuperCharge and the new 22.5W wireless charging. The price is probably ~550 euros.

Google services

Recently, the ban on Huaweia’s cooperation with American brands has been a loud topic. This means that the last devices with Google services are those of the P30 series. So the V30 and V30 Pro will not get these services. This is sad news, because these phones promise to be really decent, but the lack of the Google Play store will make it very difficult to use these smartphones. This does not mean that it will be impossible, because applications will be able to be installed, but from other sources. However, these are all leaks and unconfirmed information. The scheduled release date is November 5.
