Microsoft has just announced the news: Microsoft Flight Simulator will be well playable at 4K at 60 FPS on Xbox Series X, provided you have the right screen.
It is from this summer that we will be able to get our hands on Flight Simulator 2021 on Xbox Series X. and Microsoft is giving us some details concerning the adaptation of the title.
It seems that Microsoft has done a nice job of porting its game: in a trailer video, the title does not seem to stand out from the PC version and the graphics offered are just as enchanting.
We already knew that the title would be offered in 4K on Microsoft’s console, we now know that it will be guaranteed to shoot at 30 frames per second, and more.
Microsoft specifies that the game will be able to run at 60 frames per second on televisions that support VRR.
VRR is a technology available on some televisions (which requires an HDMI 2.1 connection) and which allows to align the refresh rate of the television with that of the stream sent by the console. It is basically an equivalent to the Freesync technology more widely used on PC.
The developers of the title give more details on the expected performance: the flight over Paris in an Airbus A320 can be done around 30 to 35 fps, while a flight over Bordeaux will allow to wait 60 FPS.
