[HOT] : Sonic Colors: Ultimate Trailer highlights big leap in visuals, details new features
Sonic Colors: Ultimate brings the fan-favorite title back to PlayStation 4, and the remaster looks like a pretty significant improvement over the original. In this new trailer, the 2010 Wii game meets the Modern Edition, and the difference is clear. Sure, a 60fps 4K remaster made 11 years later will still look superior, but it’s always good to put it in context.
In addition to the visual enhancement, the game features a number of other new features and changes highlighted in the video. Rival Rush is a new mode in which you cycle through levels against Metal Sonic. If you win, you earn rewards in a way. It looks like a neat addition and will give veterans something new to conquer. Ultimate will also include customization items that you can purchase with Park Tokens, allowing you to outfit the Hedgehog with Gloves, Shoes, Auras, and Boosts.
Then there’s the Jade Ghost, a new Wisp that allows Sonic to pass through solid objects to reach hidden spots. Finally, the remaster will include customizable controls and a system through which Tails can save you from falls, making the game a bit more accessible.
You can see all of this in action in the trailer. Sonic Colors: Ultimate is slated for September 7, and it looks like a solid update to one of Blue Blur’s best-received 3D releases. Will you play this one? Welcome in the comments section below.
