How to customize Windows 10 with the style of Cyberpunk 2077.
If you are one of those who like customization and also like the futuristic and vaporwave design style that Cyberpunk 2077 has, then you may be interested in trying this theme for Windows 10 It serves as a consolation while you wait for the game that keeps getting delayed.
Depending on how much you are willing to customize, you will have to install a few patches and third-party tools, as well as download the main theme, icons, and other extras. We are going to leave you instructions for all the basics.
Change the theme in Windows 10
To install a third-party theme in Windows 10 you will first need to install the UltraUXTheme patch. Once you do, restart Windows 10 and proceed to download the following resources:
Unzip the zip file with the theme you downloaded and look for the “Windows 10 Themes (Builds 1903-2004)” folder among the files. There you will find two Windows theme files and an additional folder. Copy all those files to the path C: Windows Resources Themes.
Press Windows key + I to open the Setting Windows 10, navigate to Personalization and select Topics. There you can choose between two options: “Cyberpunk no addresbar” (leaves the browser without an address bar) or Cyberpunk (the browser will have an address bar).
To apply a theme you just have to click on it and wait for the changes to be made. There are several things that this theme does not automatically customize, such as the start button, system icons, and some browser styles.
To change these things you can use the rest of the optional tools that we recommend downloading above. With OldNewExplorer you can modify the appearance of the explorer. You just have to unzip the folder and double click on the file OldNewExplorerCfg.exe.
Check all the boxes you want, I recommend using the general setting “Use command bar instead of Ribbon” and all the options below except “use alternate navigation buttons style”, and also not checking “show status bar”.
The result will be something like this:
To change the start button you only need to install StartIsBack and when you open the configuration window select the icon and change it to the one that is included in the Cyberpunk theme folder for Windows 10 with the name “Start Orb.png”:
If you want extras like Rainmeter widgets, you can read everything about how to configure the application in this link, and the skins that you see in the screenshots are: SimpleDesk 1.0, Monstercat Visualizer, and Urban.
If you want additional wallpapersTake a look at the huge selection offered by CD Project Red on its official website. This was my final result:
